balanced 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2017 So i consider myself a pretty good warr, everything is keybound, i understand the class ect. But any class with a shield, frostmage, warlock sac, priest PW:S, is basically impossible, as soon as the sheild goes up im sitting there doing no damage for the next 2-3 hits. With a 3.8 axe(arcanite reaper) thats almost 12 fucking seconds of no damage and no rage. And in those 12 seconds any of those 3 classes can easily kill you. My question is do warriors eventually "outscale" these shields to the point where its possible to break the shield in 1-2 hits? Or is it just vanilla balance and i have to get used to it.
Undertanker 88 Report post Posted April 16, 2017 It is VERY important to pool rage if you can can on your openers for these types of classes. Only hamstring and Auto until you see the bubble, that is when you'll want to use MS and try to break it. Other than that, get a pocket healer to L2 Dispel.
balanced 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2017 Its a good idea to pool rage, but you start a fight with 15rage from charge then drop 10 on hamstring you now you have 5 rage. At that point the priest just bubbles, i don't know why any priest wouldn't immediately open with shield, and since we get like 0 rage from damage received the priest can do 50% of my hp before i have enough rage for a MS.

Facing a priest Bloodrage and/or Berserker Rage (if appropriate) at this point. It's an extremely disadvantageous situation but honestly the shields don't absorb that much damage so you just have to writhe it out. Stack stamina and you won't lose 50% of your hp during it. Mage is another story altogether. Mana Shield has no cooldown and usually they tend to have it up all the time when Ice Barrier isn't up. The best case scenario is that you hit so hard that they don't have enough mana to kill you anymore. But usually they will.
