Priest Vs Rogue need opinions

Recommended Posts

So, i just joined the server and im trying to decide what to level.Used to play rogue in vanila..ended up rolling healing classes for arenas later on(tbc/wotlk) .

I remember being able to "abuse" cds to stun/reset/restealh for days...or just Ambush 2/3 of someone HP with perditions blade back in vanila, it was fun but rogue was hardly a challenge in 1v1.

I CANT remember much about priests, specially pvp wise.

Are they good? as both SP and disc/holy?

Can you "do ok" while leveling vs ganks?

I cant remember enough to even have an opinion, but i feel like that if you are alliance (which i will eb for faster Qs) you will get rekt by UD rogues.I remember in TBC being able to easely 1v1 rogues and msot dps as a disc.

Checked some recent Vanila videos and SP seems to do OK in pvp, even 1v1 vs rogue, but i wonder if im only looking at super geared R14 priests

Thanks!

UD and Warriors will be tough as well as Shamans that know what the skill purge does (LOL). But, get engineering and it will make things a little bit better and once you hit 60 and gear up you wont be a push over.

Though, I would prefer UD shadowpriest over any alliance race priest (yes, that includes dwarf).

If you want to raid and play in premades and dont mind healing until you have R10/R13 go priest. They are super needed everywhere.
If you are more of a solo player then rogue is the better choice.

problem beeing a healpriest:

rogues will outscale you the futher the game progresses. i dont wanna think about a naxx geared rogue vs a naxx geared priest actually.
