2FA for dummies

Hello,

I just started playing on Elysium last night and just from perusing the forums i can already tell that i'm going to want 2FA protection on my account.  So here's the question, assuming i am one of the most computer illiterate people on earth (which i am), how do i do this?

You log into your account control panel, and click the button that says "Enable 2FA." Unless you're using a public computer, it's probably easiest to choose the option to require a code when your IP address changes.

You will then receive an email with a code for a 3rd party 2FA app (never ever ever ever delete this email). Open your 3rd party 2FA app, scan or enter the code (ensure you enable time zone synchronization in your app settings). Click the button in your email to finalize your 2FA activation.

When you log into the game, you will be prompted to enter a 6 digit PIN that will be generated by your 2FA app.

Thanks Hudson.  I'm at work so i will wait until tonight. 

You may have shown a real lack of bravery when the team needed to shut down that nuclear power plant, but in the end you gave your life so that Ripley, Newt, Gorman, Vasquez and Hicks could have a chance to live theirs.

Hey thanks for this thread, as a matter of fact, because of this, I will look into getting a detailed step by step guide with pictures included of everything you need to know about 2FA.

Cool.  I think it will help people.  The guides you guys have up are all very good.  Case in point, it is a minor miracle that i was even able to log on to any of these servers but the "how to" sticky post in the general chat was so good i was able to get it done within minutes of downloading everything!
