Zeth Kur to Anathema is a very bad idea. Here's why.

Recommended Posts

Zeth Kur players did not start on Anathema for many good reasons

Zeth kur players wanted a fresh server and therefore started in zeth kur.

Zeth kur players do not want to play or compete with nostalrius old and geared players.

If Zeth kur players wanted to play on a later content, they would have started in anathema in the first place but they obviously did NOT want to.

Forcing a merge won't make a difference for anathema, players who didn't want to start there in the first place would not bother playing there in the future.

It's really simple, anathema is a nostalrius server and new players don't want to play on it, accept that fact. That is why there are more who quit than those who join in anathema.

Merging zeth kur players who don't care about nostalrius timeline and geared players will only result for them to quit the server or start over in elysium.

Inevitably only 5-10% of zeth kur players would keep playing on anathema and 10% is being generous. 90% of the 10% will realize that it is not the server for them. The merge will result to a waste basically.

Don't try and save anathema a dead old server by making zeth kur obsolete because you will never be able to force zeth kur players play there, they either quit or start over on elysium.

If you merge zeth kur to elysium- At least all players will keep playing

If you merge zeth kur to anathema- surely over 90% will not stay or play there.

You know you can transer your caracter to Elysium and even darrowshire. It's all the remaining characters that did not complete the transfer quest that will be tranfered to Anathema.

Why is there a quest for the server that wants to be played in

And no quest for the server that does not want to be played in

What if some players did not know about it?

These Zeth'Kur players which don't even care enough to log in to click a quest in a 3 week window deserve their fate on Anathema.

If they wanted to keep playing their freshy fresh cuck experience, they wouldn't have quit by now. You can count yourself lucky to even be merged with a more populated realm instead of being stuck with your time investment on a close to dead server.

They have had enough time to keep themself up to date.

If they come back later on and complain about it, its their own fault.

In addition to having plenty of time to decide where they want to go, your post is full of false assumptions.

There are threading issues, particularly with master threading causing all kinds of havoc on server performance which is why they changed auto-transfers from Elysium to Anathema.

Even a few hundred more gamers from Zeth will have an impact, so I get why they are doing it. However it doesn't mean it is the "right move" for the players if that makes sense. People to this day come to this forum asking how to transfer their Nost characters, imagine what it'll look like when all those inactive Zeth'Kur accounts end up on Anathema? Most people already have established 60s on Anathema, so they'll get their fresh progression character tossed over there as well lol.

tl;dr their servers can't handle anything more than they have now due to threading so thats why people are being shoved into the Chinese raid log realm known as Anathema

Edit: I don't know why the staff isn't more upfront about the server performance issues instead of tip-toeing around it, if they were open and explained what I just explained I'm sure people would be less butthurt about the whole thing
