Hi I played/raided since 2007 stopping in 2016.   I don't care for what wow has become but I really want to play Vanilla.  started the month BC was launched.  I'm looking forward to joining this great WoW community!!

You'll find Vanilla to be quite similar to BC. Major differences is some of the classes were reworked for BC (paladins come to mind. In Vanilla they're really not viable end content tanks due to no ranged capability and more importaintly no taunt) During Vanilla. Blizzard kept trying to balance Shaman against Paladins so as to give each faction an unique faction specific class. But by the time of BC, the realized that it was basically an impossible objective so they then gave both factions both classes. Another major point is the very restrictive number of debuffs a mob will have (this has a major effect on warlocks in raids. They basically become shadow bolt machines since it's impractical for a single warlock to consume 3 debuf slots with dots when the total number of debuf slots is only 8 and by the end of vanilla 16).
