Becksbur 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2017 Has anyone here ever leveled 50-60 or 55-60 as a shockadin? Was wondering how difficult it was or if it was useful in anyway. I wanna go holy and figured if i went shock i could heal dungeons 50-60 to get gear while still being able to kinda quest. Any thoughts? 0 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Rafale 6 Report post Posted June 11, 2017 I was holy 0 to 60. Its very easy to go dungeon (Mara, BRD) during 50-60. U don't need to quest much, 90% of your gear will be in dungeon so take the best spec for dungeon. Btw, Holy is a good spec to survive in pvp too, and rogues don't like engaging a plate wearer who can heal/bubble. 0 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Becksbur 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2017 Yeah true, but i like to level fast, feel like dungeons would gimp it. but then again that's what im gonna be doing at 60 anyway to get gear to may as well start earlier? lol. But if you were holy did you quest at all 50-60? if so how was it to kill mobs. Maybe I will do ret/holy, bring points down to SoC then rest in holy to have a balance. For example, at level 55 you spec holy and go healing dungeons, you start getting your pre-raid gear earlier you can as well do quests too that require dungeons, means you save some time at level 60 (at level 60 you will most likely have brd/dm/lbrs and maybe strath+scholo healer gear). Also, you will be overpowered in WPL and EPL, as you'd have Holy Shock and Exorcism while leveling. On the other hand if you continue as ret till you reach level 60 it will take you quite some time and expenses to start healing dungeons. So you should rather get healing gear step by step by leveling and go Holy at some point in late 50's. So my suggestion, go ret or prot till late 50's and start gearing up as a healer (I would say prot grinding is much faster than ret, as I managed to get approx 70k xp/hour while aoe grinding mobs and tons of greens, cloth etc. Level 50-55 took me about 10 hours total, that's including selling stuff on the auction and getting back to leveling spot). Becksbur 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2017 Yeah I think I'm gonna do ret to SoC then put rest in holy. It's actually pretty much what I have now but with Sanctity Aura.
