Fivehive 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2017 Four Horsemen is by no doubt the hardest fight in the game in terms of the entire raid fully understanding their classes, mechanics in the the encounter. One simple thing that made the encounter real hard doing the first kills and progression of Naxx was the void zones spawning from Lady Blaumeux These where cast on a nearby player to Lady Blaumeux, and where either Visible or invisible, to avoid dying to these, you had to move as a tank, healer and ranged dps. Other way to dodge this could be to take one tick, and then know the exact position of the invisible void zone and call it out. This is by some called an "RNG" to the encounter, however if the raid is placed correctly at the safe spot there wont be any void zones at either other places then the people attending Lady Blaumeux doing the encounter. Sources for the information is here:http://www.forgottenaspects.com/forums/index.php?action=profile;u=29;area=showposts;start=135http://lurkerlounge.com/forums/thread-3820-page-2.html "12. The Four Horsemen. Having repaired invisible void zones, the patch has finally removed randomness from the encounter. Know what to do and when to do it and these guys aren't too tough, though they're still harder than nearly everything else. The fight's gotten a bit harder since mages don't have as much threat reduction, which makes the fight last longer, which increases the chance that someone blunders and dies." Forest_ 40 Report post Posted June 13, 2017 The developers will not intentionally script bugs into the Naxx release code.
Fivehive 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2017 Thank you for your reply Forest_, Things some people deemed being a bug might be intentionally how the encounter should world, Pre 1.12. This is how the encounter where designed and ran in Retail doing the first kills and progression. All i am requesting is that it should work as it did on retail. "Blizzlike"

In my eyes this is how the encounter where designed and ran in Retail doing the first kills and progression. If we take something like Shaman Chain healing working how it does work vs Retail Vanilla Pre 1.12, it should only try healing the same people in the game group not the raid as it does on this server. All i am requesting is that it should work as it did on retail. "Blizz LIKE" So you're saying we should also have pre-nerf C'Thun where he was literally unkillable? Just because something was in place for a time doesn't mean it was intentional. If they fixed this in 1.12.1, that's how the encounter was designed, and that's how it should be scripted.
Fivehive 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2017 Myllz, No i am not saying the Claws/Eyes should spawn in the stomach, that was a BUG and no one killed him in this state. No matter what HP value you might be counting on C'thun as being "Pre-nerf". lets not get offtopic here and start taking nonsense. But the fact is that 4H was killed many times before they changed void zones to be always visible to everyone was something that happened in later patches. This is a legit a part of the encounter, if you want it to be blizzlike.

Just because he was killed in that state doesn't make it a designed part of the encounter. Again, it was fixed for a reason.

I am asking for the content being released as it was, not as how blizzard changed it later on.

sumeht 9 Report post Posted June 13, 2017 As far as I can remember the bug was with graphics drivers, I forget exactly which but the invisible void zones only happened to one half of the ATI / Nvidia split and not the other.

I think it was ATI as Nvidia where sponsoring Blizzard at that time, and most likely tested/devolved on Nvidia cards . however older Nvidia cards had problems as well with this visual, correct me if I am wrong. Got no current data to back this up. 10 minutes ago, Myllz said: Then this project isn't for you. And lol at the casual card.
