Are all Elysium servers eventually going to TBC?

I had this question in my mind for some time and thought I'd ask before continuing to level any of my characters.

Are ALL Elysium servers eventually going to be patched/migrated over to The Burning Crusade (TBC)? The reason asking is because I have no interest in playing further expansions of WoW and only want to play Vanilla (before there were any expansions).

Is there any idea that has been brought to the staff's attention about possibly keeping one (or a few) servers plain vanilla and not ever being upgraded? More or less a time lock?

Forcing players over to tbc is what killed say feenix. New servers or option ot copy toons is a much better option then forcing people into expansions.

Yeah, copying your character would be the ideal scenario.  I don't think they could MAKE you transfer your toon.

I'm glad that we are mostly all of the same opinion about this.

 

You are correct that a character/account copy would be ideal and I hope the dev's take our community interest into consideration, but I haven't heard any official statements as to the actual plans of anything like this yet.

 

I'd hate to spend all this time on Vanilla just to be ported over TBC in the future...

I would just rather stay Vanilla and try to get best in slot gear for my main and one or 2 alts for the next 10 years to be honest. But that is just my opinion and not anyone else.
