JesterBane 0 Report post Posted August 6, 2017 So my resolution is stuck at 4:3 resolutions. I even enabled the console commands to try and force the correct resolution, 1920x1080, and this is what happened https://gyazo.com/94466cf91ffe287ec25397887bca5ae2. So I went and made sure that my monitor had its drivers up to date and my gpu drivers are up to date. I even googled the problem and most people who have this problem have it because they have 2 monitors with 1 of them being lower than 1920x1080, or in general just lower resolution than the primary. Well I have 2 monitors with both 16:9 res and both are 1920x1080 native. :L Im at a lost

I just fired up Vanilla WoW about a half hour ago... saw it was defaulting to 1024x768 and made the change manually in the config file, just for giggles to see if it would work. It worked perfectly... 1920x1080. Well, it's at least worked up until the login in screen. I'm waiting for my kids to go to bed before attacking the character creation and tutorial stuff... so I can't make any promises it'll work once you're actually in the game. (Update: Yes... setting it manually in the config file sticks once you're in the game and also survives exiting out.) (It's literally been over a decade since playing retail WoW. My boss actually told me about EP today. Yes, my boss.) Edited August 8, 2017 by Guardian452 Tested manual setting change... SUCCESS!

I didn't even get far enough in when first running it to see if the setting could be changed the proper way or not.
