Stuck on "Connected" when entering Elysium server

It does seem really odd.

Almost every night I try to log on at midnight (mountain standard time US) and Elysium is almost always DOWN.

Perhaps this is a structural issue.

Whether structural or deliberate it seems INCREDIBLY BIZARRE that measures have not been taken to respond to this incredibly consistent problem.

Nearly every night it goes down at nearly the exact same time.

It's one thing to deal with a problem that occurs at random intervals and times, but this is not such a problem.

You misunderstand. I never said they are "evil" or are doing this to "torture" people. In fact, I think what I suspect they're doing is completely logical (maybe not ethical or honest - but logical).

And I'm here because this is the only vanilla wow server worth playing on, despite its faults.

guys, whats your problem this issues of crashed are just in the last 3 weeks ( it seems the have some major problems, and im pretty sure they try to fix it)

 

and another thing.. why are you peoiple not able to talk in servertimes ? it would be way easier when you have that problems..... the elysium staff talks in servertime aswell... who cares about any other timezone ?? 

 

and who cares especial about the US ?  NA+ SA has together still the smallest playerbase besides africa.   and the most money came from europe aswell..... so dont cry its because someone want to bother us people.... you dont count anything on that server. you are not more worth then a asian( indian chinese player). 

and the most money from the project comes from europe... nothing us bread and butter shit.

I don't see any crying, but I do see some substantive complaints and unusual theories.

And, perhaps you don't know, but WoW was made by Americans.

So next time you play WoW, consider you wouldn't have any of it without Americans =)

I suppose if I lived in a muslim colony I would be pretty bitter towards Americans as well =(

Agreed. Well put. I just want to add this: I have no problem with the DEVs having issues with keeping the server up. I just hope this isn't somehow related to blizzard, and them wanting to do away with private server. My rational side says "no", but part of me thinks outsiders are trying to keep us from playing on private servers. I actually have no idea.

From what I remember there has been also many Issues back than with full Blizzard Server.

I guess this was the reaso the quede, which is not the case here. 

Maybe the structure of the game isn´t just made for such an amount of players/data. Remember just WOD where it was a mess, with all the players returning back at the start. So I don´t think that blizz starts attacks on this Server or something, but everything is thinkable. 

I think it is an Issue of the way the game is programed and hope there will be a solution in one way or another.

Oops, spoke too soon - server crashes less than 24 hours after last patch.  And it crashes when? 2am US EST, 11pm US PST, with like 4.5k people on.  But it will be fine in a few hours (in time for the Chinese) and will stay that way through the EU peak of about 7k players before crashing again in US evening tomorrow.
