Enter World Disconnect

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I'm logging in, getting to my character selection screen, entering the world, and as soon as I get through the loading screen I get disconnected. I've tried multiple characters, and my buddy has also tried to log in (on the same comp) and has the same problem.

Check all these points

Make sure that the client you downloaded was 1.12.1. People have been known to download others.

If you are on Windows, make sure that the World of Warcraft folder is not in Programs, the desktop is fine.

If you are on a Mac, make sure that the World of Warcraft folder and its contents are not write protected (Getinfo)

Open the World of Warcraft folder - delete the WDB folder, it is cache and will rebuilt.

Open the file realmlist.wtf with a text editor (NotePad/TextEdit)

Make sure that the realmlist.wtf's CONTENTS are ONLY

set realmlist logon.elysium-project.org

There is a folder called WFT, open that, delete the file called Config.wtf if it is present.

Start WoW.exe (Windows) or WoW Classic (mac)

Enter your Username and password

Choose a realm

make sure that you use the username and password that logs you into the Control Panel. It is a separate one from the forum details.

I did this to no avail. Is it possible that my wifi could make a difference? On my home wifi it works perfectly fine, but on a public wifi it does not. Only other success I've had was deleting the entire WTF and WDB folder and after I put all my addons back to my settings my next enter world failed. (Addons are LunaUnitFrames, AtlasLoot Enhanced, DamageMeter, and Threat meter).

Jk figured it out, was able to get in world the first time. Logged back out and back in to test again and the same problem occurred. Sometimes it's at the connect phase, character selection, and enter world.

At home, where you said that it worked

Set the add-on memory to zero

Test that is OK

Exit WoW

Add one addon

Restart

If OK, exit again, add another add-on. Repeat until you find the add-on that is causing problems. Either download another copy or find an alternative.

Why it may be giving a problem away from home may be a different ISP with different allowances of traffic

Alright, SO, I figured this out. On some networks the traffic allowance is different like you said. Atlas Loot was the one triggering this using public wi-fi. Just disabled it on the character selection screen and all is well! Thank you guys for the help.
