ceroh 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2017 Hello all, I am running macOS Sierra version 10.12.6 and can't seem to launch the game. I downloaded the Torrent MAC OS using transmission (torrent downloader). I extracted the folder (WoW-1.12.1-enUs-Mac) from the zip document. Changed the contents of realmlist.wtf to: set realmlist logon.elysium-project.org After that I allowed it to open in the security center. Then tried launching the game but keep on getting a Problem report saying that World of Warcraft quit unexpectedly. My brother who has the same computer but runs "macOS El Capitan" followed the same steps and is able to play with no problems at all. Guys I am new to this and will really appreciate any tips you can give me. Idk if it matters but I also have legion installed as well. Thanks!
WondahFish 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2017 Currently running the game on OSX Sierra. Have you tried re-downloading it? Might be caused by corrupted files
ceroh 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2017 Hey WondaFish Yes I've already re-downloaded it 3 times. I wonder if it's because I used Transmission to download the torrent.
Spionida 10 Report post Posted September 8, 2017 I used transmission, flawless. Where is your WoW folder, have you checked that the WoW folder and its contents are read/write for you/everyone?
jemesct 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2017 I have this same issue. On Sierra 10.12.5 downloaded from the torrent source on this website. Used Transmission not that I think that would make a diff. Allowed it to open via security and it just keeps crashing on itself. I've tried having the folder in various places. Did you find a resolution @ceroh?

Have you tried this @ceroh? Im currently having the same problem as you and was wondering if this solution works?
draugs 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2017 I had the same issue as you describe and for me the problem was resolved by using a different unzip program. When I used "The Unarchiver" I got an error when I tried to launch WoW, but when I unzipped it with the built in unarchiver tool the game launched without any issues.
Solinis 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2017 (edited) You may need to chmod the folder that wow is using as it most likely is a write-permission error. You can do this by doing the following (Command) + (Spacebar) - Type Terminal Enter the following sudo chmod -R 777 /wow/folder/directory/* Edited September 16, 2017 by Solinis
