itzpeyton 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2017 I see the Elysium server is the most populated, so would that be the best choice to start on? And also what faction do you guys think i should roll for pvp?
Motorbreath 923 Report post Posted September 19, 2017 I'd say go for Elysium PvP - it's the youngest and, as you have noticed yourself, the most populated of the three realms. Which means easier to find a group / start a battleground even at lower levels. There probably will be some people that will tell you it's overpopulated and that it's best if you go and play on another two realms, but, let's face it, it's only best for them and not for you. The only thing the other two realms have that Elysium PvP doesn't is more PvE content and more available items with buffed stats, but all this will be available at Elysium PvP sooner or later, so, from my PoV, it's only reasonable to have some time to prepare for all the upcoming changes while you still have lesser gap to close between you and the top geared crowd. About factions... I dunno. The alliance is always more PvE-oriented one because of it's racial abilities, while the horde tend to be more agressive and PvP-oriented. Horde ganking paries in Searing and Burning as well as horde gankers in general are a reality. Maybe it's just an alliance player PoV, but still. I guess horde players have to wait longer for battleground games, because the alliance is less active in PvP. Though I did PvP in all brackets except 50-59 while leveling my pally, and most time the problem was a lack of queing horde, so go figure. Premades and twinking teams are usually equal - when there's a force then there's an counter-force. I'm still preparing for 60pvp and can't tell for sure. All I can tell for now the rule is usually something like: "if you want an easy PvP and a PvP-oriented faction where everything's in favour of it, go horde. If you're looking for challenges, want some hardcore in your game and enjoy breaking the mold - go alliance." If you want to steamroll the enemy without breaking a sweat, get your epics and be proud of it, find a premade or just gank lowlevels in STV I dunno. Some people say it's fun - I've tried it; not for me. Hey, I have a Judgement ability, but I'm not here to judge. Just figure out what's fun for you and by all means go for it ;)

I read and saw that Anathema was getting xfers first but like they said, no set details. So what are your thoughts regarding that? I prefer TBC over Vanilla so do you still think i should roll Elysium over Anathema?

For me, I don't PVP and I'm a fairly casual player that doesn't want to compete with a bunch of people for mobs or items... do Darrowshire was the perfect choice for me.
Motorbreath 923 Report post Posted September 19, 2017 I don't care about TBC at all, so not a slightest idea. It's given, that all realms progress with the same pace and the other two are only ahead because they are older. So by starting on Elysium you're probably looking at additional time to wait for TBC transfer. But again, with no solid dates you could just sit and wait go even go look for a TBC server available right now. I'd say either do that, or still go for Elysium while you wait and then start anew when TBC will be available here. I think it comes down to how much you really prefer TBC over Vanilla.
Drain 19 Report post Posted September 19, 2017 Go to one of the smaller realms. Elysium has enough people.
