Advice on picking a class

Recommended Posts

I need a bit of advice. I've levelled 4 classes to 15 or so and can't make up my mind.

So I've narrowed it down to 3 classes.

Warlock, Druid, Warrior

Heres my trouble holding me back from each.

Warlock - I enjoy lock and love that I can raid and pvp pretty well. I really grew used to more mobile classes in later wow though so Im worried about that.....and I cant tank or heal...so Im worried about getring 5 man groups, though Im less worried about raids spots as I will be alliance and there dont seem to be a ton of locks.

Druid - I like being able to heal but I dont want to be forced into it for raids. I raided in vannilla back in the day as a holy priest so Ive healed every raid aside from Naxx and would like something different. And I know druid dps/tanking in raida is doable but requires more time commitment to get everything you need and its usually 1 per raid.

Warrior - I hate how vunerable I feel when leveling alone without heals or anything but I love being a little more mobile, like the combat feel and enjoy taking...I also like pvping with them as long as I can get some heals hehe. My main concern is the server is already at BWL and there seem to be a billion warriors here. I would need to be taken as a tank to MC as a newer tank over well established ones.

So to sum up.

Druid - general meh ness, dont want to raid heal.

Lock - can only dps, worried about finding groups.

Warrior - mostly worries about the sheer number of them on the server and trying to catch up to others as a tank.

If anyone could give me advice on the servers general needs in casual raiding or address my individual concerns I would really appreciate it

Pickup the class you gona have the most fun with. If you are an active, dedicated player that doesn't slack on prep and attendance then you can make any class work.

Lock would be the most efficient to lvl and gears, don't worry about 5man, there always multiple group looking for the same instances at all times with the population, and lock are in demand in most guilds

Out of the three, Warlock is the easiest to level. Your mounts won't cost you much compared to other classes too. Beware of the rogues though, you'll probably be low health most of the time while leveling and if you're playing ally side, the undead will just clear your fear. We all know vanilla wow is 89% undead rogues.

You could also give Shaman a try, it seems to fit your criteria. It's mobile, you can either melee dps or long range dps, you can heal, the leveling is easy and you get a 30% movement speed form at 20.

Hello sir,

regarding pve, it is mostly about what you would enjoy the most to do, because if you get a good gear and have a basic knowledge what to do, you are perfectly fine to find a guild or raid group for you to join. In case you like pvp as well I would go with druid if I were you, because you can be the real mvp and win WSG for your team even against more geared enemy teams and even in other bgs you can play a major role.

But of course, please never look on what the demand is at the moment and what classes are needed and stuff like that, it may change in a week or two and there are plenty of guilds recruiting,.. if you feel a specific class would be the mostf un for you, please just select that one and have a great time and fun playing it.

I'd rank a feral druid over a warlock for ease to level especially on a pvp server. Only reason I play a druid however is for pvp. If raid is a primary focus then the usual raid classes are the best bet.

When picking a class you should consider lvling, endgame, pvp, utility, gold making and how fun it is to play.

From the classes you've listed lock is the best one.

Shines whille lvling, brings a lot to the table when it comes to endgame raids (by a lot I mean portals, healthstones and improved imp) and does decent dps, You can also farm DM as a lock, so you won't have any issues with gold and what not.

As far as downsides go... you will get tunnelled by rogues in pvp and the endgame pve will be you, spamming shadowbolt.

Overall locks are pretty decent.
