Can't Login/Invalid Login 30DEC17

Hello!

New and interested in playing on Nighthaven. I downloaded it from the beginners guide link. I have extracted it to a spot not program files and have updated/saved the realmlist to read logon.elysium-project.org

Now I have my e-mail that is attached to the forum account and when I go to create a "game" account it tells me the e-mail is already in use. Not sure what my username is to log into the game? Is it the forum name? 

How do I recover game account name linked to my e-mail? 

I noticed others on here are having similar issues as me. Thank you for your time!

Did you create an account on: https://elysium-project.org/main/signup.html?

If your email is already in use, it indicates you've previously setup an account. Try using the same username you have here.

Correct *realmlist.wtf* should have only one line:

SET realmList logon.elysium-project.org

I have the same issue, I have an account, I cant log in on the same credentials I used to log on to the forums.

The credentials to the forum are different than the credentials in game.

Having the same issue. What I did:

• Made sure realmlist.wtf is set to use Elysium just as instructed.
• Used the same login credentials as the forums.
• The credentials work on the forums but yield a login error in game.
• Tried changing password on the forums. No use.

What I didn't try yet:

• Creating a new account.

That is the expected behaviour. Your game account and your forum account are separate. You need to create a game account to login.

Thank you! It worked, but now I have another problem. The character I leveled to 20 on Elysium a few months ago is gone, and so did its entire realm! What's the matter? Did they reset everything?

Edit: Attempting to use the character restoration tool in the homepage right now. It's rejecting my login information whether I use my forum credentials or my new game account password. Tried email and username too; no use.

Edit 2: Found an announcement from mid-November 2017 (about 2 months ago) stating that the 3 old realms would be merged into a new realm called Straltholme, which was due to launch a few days after the article's publication date. However, I can confirm that my realmlist in game currently only lists Nighthaven and PTR. Stratholme is nowhere to be seen.

Character restores pull to an offline realm called Stratholme, and are only necessary if you played between July -> October. The toons from Elysium are not available for playing at this time, though. Nighthaven is a fresh realm with all new rolled toons on it.

I played in mid-2017. It's highly likely that it was post July. Yet, the character restore tool won't take my log in info to begin with. What can I do to restore it?

Wait, what? If my character was on Elysium, then it's gone forever? I put 15-20 hours of gameplay into that character goddammit! If it was actually on Elysium (which I think it was), then what can I do now?

Toons from Elysium are on ice for the time being, and will be available again when Burning Crusade comes out. You'll need to roll new toons to play on Nighthaven. Most players left behind old toons to roll fresh, which is why the old realms were pulled offline - there was too few players.

Is there no way to keep playing on your private servers without upgrading to BC?

Even better, the plan is to copy characters, so you can play both Vanilla and TBC.

So that means I can do whatever I want on Nighthaven and just copy my toons wherever afterwards? Sounds like a deal! Thanks for the info in advance (gotta control the reply flood).
