Where be the fish?

I'm trying to level my alchemy above 155 right now, and that requires these oily blackmouth fish. However, I can't seem to find a single node. I've wandered all around the coast of Westfall, the lake Loch Modan, and Dark Shore a couple of times. Not a single school. Do these spawn? If they do, are they taken immediately by Chinese farmers or something?

Darkshore has the most Oily Blackmouth spots (31). You can find them along the coast, roughly from 41.5, 23.6 to 31.9, 82.4.

So, I've walked up and down the Darkshore coast twice now. I have not seen a single other player and I still did not find a single pool of oily blackmouth fish. Are you for sure that the pools actually exist on Nighthaven?

I was curious about the absence of fishing pools too, did a little reading around and it would appear pools don't appear until patch 1.9. So based on the current timetable for Nighthaven, they'll appear on August 4th.

Ah. I wonder where I'm supposed to get these oily blackmouth fish at then. I've found firefin snappers at the docks of Menethil Harbor, but only firefins. :c

Are there actually ANY pools of Oily Blackmouth? Any Screenshot to proof their existence? Because I havent seen a single school of fish whole game. I just wandered the darkshore coast up and down. not a single school of oily blackmouths.

As mentioned there are no pools of any fish as of this patch. I'll assume the August date mentioned is correct. Until then, you just have to fish in regular areas to get them. They are a small % catch no matter where you go.

Wonder why the Communitymanager would give such an irritating answer at first.

Guess Ill just have to fish and hope the 0.000001% chance kicks in :D
