After TBC release

Recommended Posts

Hello, at first i am apologizing if similar thread was posted before. What do you guys think, how much players will stay on classic after TBC release? I am playing here since release and im enjoing wow so much now, especially pvp is nice now. I am definitely not going to TBC (it is very good expanse, im just played it a lot before). WIll be here at least 800 online players? With some active BGs? From what ive heard from players, all wanna go to TBC :( Regards, Ironz

Hard to say really. I think very soon when we merge Anathema into Nighthaven we will get in influx of players. Then on the opposite side of the coin when we launch TBC I think we will split some of the player base. At first, I think TBC is going to have the majority of players trying it out - some will return back to Nighthaven. When some of the other server projects shut down, we will again experience another influx of players. There's sort of waves the private server community goes through.

In the next 3-5 months there will be an estimated 6k players (actual players, not accounts) looking for a private server to call home. Light's Hope will be closing, our Anathema server is merging soon, and the novelty of retail Classic WoW will wear off.

Nighthaven is not going anywhere and has over a year of trial and error behind it. With an active staff working to smooth over all scripts, a superior server stability, and a blizz-like scripted TBC server, and a far healthier, stronger  community than other servers, Elysium Project is poised to grow exponentially in terms of community size.

I have spent countless hours on Sunwell, Netherwing, Light's Hope, in countless streamer chats, Discords, etc.. The overall feeling I have gathered from the private server community is that the most well scripted, blizz-like, and stable server will draw the largest player base. We at Elysium have not only learned from our past with Nighthaven but are also learning from the trial and error mistakes of other servers to bring the best, most complete well scripted, and blizz-like experience ever in the private server community.
