Server question

I just downloaded the 2.43 TBC client as instructed on the how to. The main forum says to use server list "set realmlist logon.elysium-project.org". However when I did this it would show me the realm list but I was not able to connect to anything but a single PTR server.

Another realm list which is "set realmlist logontbc.elysium-project.org"

Once I used the second realm list I can connect immediately and my map shows the outland so I assume I'm on the right server. Am I good now? Can I continue to play as usual?

Edit: after about 20 minutes of playing a new character I was disconnected from the server and I'm having the same problem as before. I can see the Stormrage server, and that I have 4 characters. When I click the server then okay it says "Logging into game server" and then brings the server list back up. I can connect to the PTR just fine.

Does this mean the servers are down and I have to wait? Or is there something I'm doing wrong? I am currently using "set realmlist logon.elysium-project.org" (no quotations in the notepad)

I can't log in either, worked fine day up until an hour or two ago. I assume the server is down.

I have the same issue, I though servers were down but on the website you can see they're working.

You have to select the development tab in realm selection and then select Stormrage.  

With that said, we disabled the server temporarily to investigate and fix this a rollback issue.

Having the same issue, and still can't log in.   Is the stormrage server still offline, or is anyone back on?

I'm still having this issue. I can log in but when I choose stormrage it shows "logging into server" then shows the server page again;

idk the difference but if u look at the links I posted one is from the current how to connect guide and the other seems to be for the beta. they both connect to elysium though

Like Zancon said, the server is down and they are looking into some issues people are having. Let's have some patience while, hopefully, some bugs get squashed.

I am not a programmer or know much about it but wouldn't it be beneficial to your patrons to have a server status on the main page or even a thread on the forum for server status? Just a thought.

It would be very nice if they had a server status, or even if they tweeted out an update once in a while or something and pasted the tweet on the main web page - Actually, on further review, Discord is the way to go. They clarified everything on their Discord channel. If all goes well, we will be live in an hour or less. However, at least 3 hours of our play results will be as if it didn't happen. To make it up to us, we will have double experience and such for 24 hours after. Thank goodness they have some way to let us know what is going on!

The Discord link is in Zancon's signature. He commented in this thread. Staff Member Rain said if all goes well they expect the server to be up within an hour.

I know these links, i was using "set realmlist logontbc.elysium-project.org" before it was changed to the previous one.

Both realmlist should work. Some users were having a hard time wrapping their head around the realmlist being the same. So we created one with TBC in it to try and make it more clear but seems like the law of unintended consequences make it even more confusing.
