Elysium server is not PvP...
Pwnana replied to Jdude2021's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Ever heard of purge? It's a thing -
Both Princess and the Croc are more risky, altho doable, and take far longer than just doing the Goblin which is fast and easy. Always found it pretty pointless to waste time messing around with them so can't really say if they were buffed or not but sounds like RNG to me.

Need help with autoattack macro after installing SuperMacro
Pwnana replied to Teaboar's topic in UI, AddOns & Macros
I've noticed this as well. ktm goes totally bonkers. Is there some solution available? -
They're all good. Pick the one that fits the role you most want to play. If you want to tank - warrior. If you want to heal - priest, druid... and so on

wtf are you on about? I've been playing this game as a weekend game more often than not. while it's true that a proper run of the average L60 dungeon takes a few hours, you can easily do OTHER stuff like leveling with just one hour or so of playing time during the week. also, ever heard of weekend raiding guilds? yeah they're a thing and it's a totally valid way of playing the game. *Sry for off-topic* On topic imo it's not really a very good excuse that you did stupid crap after getting drunk, but I hope you get your char back. On the other hand, since you were still low level it's not the end of the world either way.

Could someone explain to me if this is a horrible built or not, and why?
Pwnana replied to Arfinicus's topic in Warrior
This build lacks key talents in Fury -> Enrage (25% more damage after crit) and Blood Craze which allows you some regeneration. Those, and Piercing Howl, are among the most worthwhile talents, while neither Booming Voice or Improved Demoralizing Shout are such. The standard Arms PvP build is 31/20 If you mainly want to do dungeons and raiding you need to look at deep Fury (17/34) and deep Protection (Main Tank build: 8/5/38) and not Arms. Hybrid builds that attempt to combine all three are almost uniformly miserable. -
Actually if you want to have a nice experience with the game I would refrain from blaming people for deaths/wipes, unless it's like hunter pulling with his pet constantly or something. I remember being in a group in Deadmines with a lot of new players and we wiped like 5 times after bad pulls / ship glitches but everyone kept their heads up, we finished the dungeon, and it turned out to be a pleasant dungeoning experience after all. In some other groups there has been intense blame game in the group after minor mistakes and eventually most of those groups have fallen apart due to the intense flaming and these times have almost always been exceptionally negative experiences for me. The tank tends to die most often in groups especially at lower levels btw. Sometimes the hunter pet / druid / pala or whatever can still tank the remaining mobs and the group survives and rezzes you.

Honestly Night Elves have the best racial for BGs and world pvp: Shadowmeld, which allows you to drink stealthed and hide at the beginning of the fight.
-
In late game you have many situations where pretty much the whole group has taken damage from various mechanics and you can spam Chain Heal healing them up much faster and more mana efficiently than LHW or HW. (Also you'll have many items with +healing on them, boosting the heals from it significantly)

Best combination of group with 2 players while leveling
Pwnana replied to koseku's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Hunter, hunter - They're best at farming even with just one, so two will make things go super smooth. With the pets it's practically like having 4 players in group. Alternatively mage, mage for ultimate AoE madness. -
Honestly it does not work on Elysium server. Not because the mechanics are wrong, but because all the good areas are crowded with players. It's a rare occasion that you can get a big area like that for yourself to pull and AoE farm for any extended period of time. Better just spec for effective and fun questing rather than try to AoE grind while having to compete for spots with not just your faction but PvP happy enemies as well. You will also have much more fun with the game like that.

kekeke the QQ in this thread is amazing. Gotta love the PvP section

It is EXTREMELY easy to level on ZK in comparison to Elysium past L30ish. It's practically a PVE server. If any transfers are allowed they should be to Darrowshire as well as Anathema since it has had transfers already anyway. Elysium doesn't need the ZK characters and they should simply not be there, sorry.
-
If you play on Elysium there are waaaaay many mages. I honestly would not roll one no matter what. Locks on the other hand are not that many, but are fun and relatively easy and fast to level thanks to the demonic pets. If the priest bores you then make a Lock alt and see how you like setting things on fire instead
-
They just prefer Dwarf for the convenience of Fear Ward. In most cases it will not affect your chances of getting into good guilds etc though. Don't bother rerolling at L30 especially not for such a lackluster reason. Honestly you can always find /some/ reason to reroll your character if you're really looking for one. For example, Dwarves lack the +5% spirit and +10% reputations gains of humans. They also get ganked more easily by the hordes of UD rogues because they don't have Perception.

Just FYI it's not "1% dodge" that NE's get over Taurens. The base Agility difference between Night Elf and Tauren is 10 (!!!), which is the largest of any two races, so it's actually much more than just the 1% dodge from the racial. More like 2%. And BOK absolutely blows away any advantage the Tauren might have in HP or anything else. It's really no contest nonwhatsoever: NElf is clearly superior and the margin in favor of them is large.
-
Druids and warlocks are by far the fewest, and of those two, druids by a large margin. Mages are far too many. I have literally have had groups where all the dps was mages many times now. There's no shortage of rogues either. There's also not that many priests on the alliance side, altho you may see a lot of them running around at really low levels (because it's a bit of pain to level, like warrior except not as sexy).
-
Gnome is by far the best for PVP. Frost mages are among the most annoying opponents as a rogue. With Gnome's Escape Artist you will have far less of a problem with them. It's *almost* as game changing as the UDs WOTF except for ally side. If you want to do any PVE though Human for +skill on Swords/Maces is kind of a must. Night Elf is the most useless for everything.

Like ppl have said, DPS Fury warrior is great in endgame raids and many people play it. But 99% of the game is not endgame raids, and if you play a warrior you will default to a tank role when you group with ppl, because it's the only class set up for that purpose (and hence the lack of tanks). It's not us that are trying to push you or any other warriors to be a tank, but rather the game mechanics in vanilla that are set up that way. That's why people say "if you don't wanna tank, don't roll warrior" If you level up and run dungeons with pals or guildies who tank in your groups then you will have no problem playing DPS warr at any point.
-
Generally speaking it's quite a lot harder to level than the mage. And if you have trouble with the speed and ease of leveling as a mage, you will be climbing the walls playing the warrior... unless you clean out the AH to gear it up every few levels. Also if you don't like playing a tank (it's the most demanding role in vanilla) then you really probably shouldn't roll a warrior. Even if you're not specced for it you will be asked to tank often. Since you like playing Melee, I would recommend a rogue. It sounds like it fits your bill of being fun, versatile (many skills and specs that are good) and relatively speedy to level. EDIT: if you decide to go ahead anyway then to your second question I'd recommend putting talents points into Fury. 5/5 Cruelty, 5/5 Unbridled Rage, 3/3 Blood Craze, 1/1 Piercing Howl, *1 random*, 5/5 Enrage to start with.
-
Honestly there is no need to respec for the 5-man or 10-man, you can easily tank them with your Fury or Arms spec if that's what you want to do. Though, bring a CC class to the dungeons so that you won't be fighting too many at once. Your threat will be somewhat worse since you don't have Defiance 5/5, so you may have to use Taunt a bit more, which is a bummer since you also don't have the Improved Taunt 2/2. But it's infinitely doable.

I'm speechless. How dare he

People want to play on reliable, functional servers with high pop. 99% of the community doesn't even follow any twitterodrama that might be going on. The realm being offline for a few hours will cut more players from the server than any daily twitter/forum drama ever could.

Befriend a few tanks and don't roll on the items they are seeking. There should be no prob getting into group with them then - Fury is great DPS/offtank after all. I run dungeons as fury with the tanks in my guild all the time. The only problem is your lack of CC really that limits your usefulness in groups. It's more difficult if you're looking for purely random groups all the time since the tank slot is way more likely to be vacant than the DPS. So there's a good chance you'll be asked to tank.
