Random Paladin Discussion (only regarding Paladin issues and stuffs related to Paladins)

Hello , i am here for first time tried to test this server.

 

So far i am fascinated by Seal of Righteousness and it's working perfect!.

 

For now i would like to report stuffs regarding Paladins here what i see so far and discover so far in server, fellow paladins i hope you can see and support in reporting etc. Thank you.

 

Day 1 - First issue (beneficial that should be reduced). Judgement of Righteousness from Seal of Righteousness Rank 1 according to Tooltip should do 15 Damage "non Crit" . Currently in server it does 20 Damage "non Crit".

I hit higher level and now Judgement of Righteousness does 22 Damage "non crit" while in tooltip says 15 Damage "non crit" .

 

p.s i say "non crit" because i exclude crit strikes from counting.

 

This should be reported.

Well i can't edit my post again so i have to update it with another reply.

 

Issue number 2:

 

Seal of the Crusader  when used should increase Attack Power and Attack Speed (working correct). But should reduce damage each swing (Bugged and not working).

 

Currently in server Seal of the Crusader increase so much damage of White Swings without any damage Penalty and thus makes it very overpowered and non Blizzlike.

 

Judgement of the Crusader Rank 1 :  "it should increase your Holy Damage up to 20" .

 

Seal of Righteousness Rank 1 without JoTC Rank 1 does 2 and 3 "according to tooltip and weapon speed with weapon used" (which is correct)

Seal of Righteousness Rank 1 with JoTC Rank 1 does 3 and 4 "According to 20 Holy Damage addition" should increase 2 Damage instead 1 Damage. (Not working correct).

 

How it suppose to work: SoR Rank 1 without JoTC should do 2-3 , SoR Rank 1 with JoTC should do 4-5.

Currently in server :  SoR Rank 1 without JoTC does 2-3 (correct) , SoR Rank 1 with JoTC does 3-4 (incorrect).

Today after Server restart i notice changes : SoR Damage got fixed and JoTC damage increase to SoR fixed.   Still need to test it further.

Tested now : R2 SoR benefit properly from JoTC R1 and R2 .

 

R1 SoR have issue . No matter what Rank (1 or 2) JoTC you use, R1 SoR will benefit only 1 Damage

 

Seems only Rank 1 SoR have problem with this or perhaps it is the Damage penalty coefficient from lower Rank using.

Day 3 , Played with my Real life friend Lan and he was playing Mage.

 

Tested one important issue.

 

Gamebreaking Bug: Targets under Crowd Control effects are affected by Healers "Healing Threats".

 

Currently in Server - When you Crowd Control Target the Healers keep continue building up Aggro toward target that is under Crowd Control effect.

How it suppose to work - When you Crowd Control target he should keep the Aggro before the Effect. During the effect Healers Healing Threats should not count.

 

Gamebreaking Reason : We don't have Taunt and this is very serious issue when you Crowd Control targets , they will all go toward Healers and you will be unable to repick the Aggro.

 

I will contact some of my fellow Paladins with full detailed Evidence for this Claim so they can report this Bug in Bugtracker.  I hope Developers will take immediate action because it is real issue for us Prot Paladins.  (This bug affects also Tank Warriors and cause problems to Healers) .

Fishy and Theloras you have all the info and evidence provided to report CC Threats by Healers bug.  /read fb inbox.

 

currently in server Healers build up threats when target is under CC effect which is wrong. they should keep the threats from before and not gain during cc.

A main concern, and one that saves Developers a lot of time, is proof from blizzard`s Vanilla servers having them working this way. In regards to healing aggro when hard CC is applied (we are all aware they aren't supposed to get threat while CCd) , but we need proof to satisfy developers. It reduces wait time on fixes and it makes Bug reports clear and concise.

 

I`ve noticed too that SoR was doing quite low scaling dmg, but i`ve noticed it balanced out nicely, im sitting around level 24 atm. SoR is hitting quite along the lines of what i remember. The early scaling was weird but ended up balancing out.

I looked around for a couple of minutes, but to no avail. I could not find necessary *proofs* linking healing threat being stopped when hard CCd, despite this being common knowledge to me.

This one is not only pally issue. Everyone are interested in fixing this.

I have searched wowpedia for anything about it and found nothing.

You can try searching thottbot from webarchive. It is blocked in my country.

It took me over 1 year hard researching all the stuffs regarding Prot Paladins.

 

This is not the only bug i can report but plenty.

 

I agree that it is bit complicated sometime because not many stuffs was bugged in retail so evidence finding is nearly impossible.

I hit another level and learned Rank 3 Seal of Righteousness , the Seal works properly and Judgement seems to work proper now.

 

It seems that Rank 1 and Rank 2 Seal of Righteousness have overtuned Judgement (overpowered) .

Question about holy paladin spec.

How important is 3/3 precision?

Also, what's the standard pvp spec for holy paladins?

not needed at all if you are Holy

I often take Precision as Holy, as it's either that or 6% armor on your way to Kings. It can help you kill a bit quicker when soloing, and 6% bonus armor means remarkably little if you are not wearing full plate. That said, definitely take the armor over Precision if you are speccing for PvP and wearing full plate.

I believe I have found an inaccuracy with dodge calculation, where the baseline value for player dodge is set to 0%, when it should be 5%. See my bug report on the tracker for numbers.

idk about that fishy, my dodge has been slowly increasing with level, i think by 60 it should be around 4-5% . I think its just an Agility gain thing. I dont remain specifically if you have a abse of 5%. I know for a fact on Nost i didnt have 5% base. I clearly remember having about 4-5% at fresh 60.

 

Would need to do more research into this

Just messing around with some ideas. thought it would be cool to come up with a pre-raid fire resistance set involving deathbone

 

Helm - Gyth's Skull of the fire resistance w/ FR Enchant (35 FR)

Neck - Drakefire Amulet (15 FR)

Shoulders - Dark Iron Shoulders w/ Shoulder enchant (15 FR)

Cloak - Wildfire Cloak w/ Enchant (27 FR)

Chest - Dark Iron Plate (19 FR)

Wrists - Emberplate Armguards (10 FR)

Shield - Draconian Deflector (10 FR)

Gloves - DB

Belt - DB

Legs - DB w/ Enchant (20 FR)

Boots - DB (+15 FR from set bonus)

Trinket - Blazing Emblem (+15 FR)

 

This will give +181 FR and juju gives another 15 FR + 60 from aura putting you at 256 Fire resistance.

 

If needed, you can get an extra +44 FR from two Opal Rings of Fire resistance and a 2nd Blazing Emblem gives another 15 putting you at 315 Fire Resistance cap.

 

I have no idea if this is a bis pre-raid fire resistance setup but just wanted something to look at obtaining once i hit 60 as a reference to myself. Enjoy :D
