Hey , i just wonder why Deathbone should be used with FR Gear?

 

There are much better items than Deathbone if you are under Def Cap.

I was just messing around, what would your ideal pre-raid FR set be? excluding crafted gear that requires MC40 mats

I never made the list myself . But if anyone can research around would be cool.

 

There are enough FR,NR,SR,AR Items but i never got the reason to investigate and post.

 

I will do that once i collect everything at level 60 ;)

Duki, what would you recommend for pre-raid over Deathbone if you are under Def cap?

 

Anything that have more Stamina and Armor ;)

 

But in this Patch you can easy achieve Def Cap.

 

I mention that words only when you use Items like FR,NR,AR,SR.

def cap preraid easy way = full deathbone set + ubrs shield + ench thorium helm + argent dawn finger + brd finger + brd trinket + ench thorium helm + gloves def enchant.

Also, It appears that the plans for Titanic Leggings are dropping. IIRC They weren't added to the game until an AQ patch, along with Sageblade plans. That being said, there's a good chance Sageblade may also be in the loot table.

Better farm those extra arcanite bars :)

-Judgement of Righteousness - The damage of this judgement was increased significantly. This judgement can now trigger procs. The bonus from spell damage items has been increased slightly.

 

This mean if you have Weapon Proc,Trinkets,jow/jol  etc should also proc by JoR .

-Seal of Righteousness: This seal will no longer cause additional chances for weapon procs to trigger. (which mean until tbc it gave us additional chances for weapon procs).

I can confirm that One-Handed weapon spec works for Seal of Righteousness. I dont have max points in it, currently 3/5 or 4/5, but it has given a quite significant boost to my auto attacks holy dmg

<3 , next thing is waiting for the bug fix of the cc so we can rock finally !. (also need to see Raid Bosses Abilities). Such as their CC either , because it is also part of our Tanking.

 

Example last Boss in UBRS , when he conflag he should switch to 2nd tank but once Conflag is finished , the Boss should switch back to you again (if you are still Top Threats).

I. Frequently asked questions

1. Which abilities are melee crit?
SoC, JoC, HoW.

JoR, Holy Shock, Heals, Exorcism, Holy Wrath(and the last 2 affect demons, in case ya didn't know)

3. How do I calculate spell crit?
Reread Tseric's US post and did some personal testing. Fairly certain of 30 int ~= 1% spell crit for palas.

 

(Number 1 "Hammer of Wrath" and "Judgement of Command" need testing)

 

2. Damage paladins wanna go for Str/Agi/Crit gear, complemented with a few good int items(YES Int is needed more, but the emphasys is MORE, you don't have to spam JoC to get decent damage and you will notice that your OVERALL dps drops if you drink every 5 mobs(since normal SoC palas got 0 downtime)).

 

 

Important There are no +spell damage plates before Judgement. If you really want +dmg items you will have to settle for cloth/leather/mail items(mostly cloth) and Rings/Amulets. Be prepared to get flamed by casters when you ask to roll.

 

 

Judgement of Command vs Stun Effects

Hammer of Justice = Works
Repentance = Works
Seal of Justice = Works
Sap = Works
Gouge = Works

Judgement of Command was improved in 1.9 to be a real weapon: a nuke like Judgement of Righteousness that does a lot of additional damage when the target is stunned or incapacitated. Much like Seal of Command, it acts like a Holy-damage melee attack with regard to the crit amount and rate. Unlike Seal of Command, however, its damage is irrespective of the weapon you have equipped. Note that any stun or incapacitate effect, including Repentance, counts for the bonus damage. Also note that even the unstunned JoC damage is roughly equivalent to JoR.

Sageblade is 100% confirmed dropping in MC40. Horde has the recipe at the moment. I am unsure as to whom learned the recipe

This card is great got mine off a priest mate sold it for a very good price. Deals 200-300 dmg as said on card, proc rate is slightly lower than other trinkets. It isn't uncommon to score an extra 1200 dmg from this card against a lvl 61 elite.Although it has a very random proc rate. The effect is cool when it procs. A purple glow when u strike then loads of chain bolts strike mob / victim.

All in all its very cool and worth its price tag. I currently equip this card and the heroism one.

Try adding Lifesteal to your offhand, and pick up the Hand of Justice from Gen. Angerforge in BRD. Each of these procs trigger from one another. You can increase your proc on the Maelstrom card from 2% to 6%.

 

 

Ace of elementals drops off high level elemental mobs (Incendius is great, we got runs down to less then 15 minutes and he seems to drop it 1 in 10 or so...only gotten four in 42 runs so it's approx...don't flame me)

other cards come from humanoids...or better yet...the AH

I'm a shaman using Flurry axe (1.5s) and proc was right around 2%...it did go off once on the second hit of a windfury proc (so it's capable of procing on non-normal swings at least) and it did proc twice within four hits of each other...as far as i know that would rule out timers, maybe it's more complicated, but it seems like a genuine 2% to me at 1.5s

ONE person said it procs for druids in feral form...that makes sense but i don't know for sure...someone confirm please...

 

 

this procs on melee strikes including instant attacks.  Not positive about a proc on sap, however it will proc on a gouge but does not break the gouge.

Why?

A soul linked warlock is all about passive damage. You can't keep the enemy away, you depend on being able to absorb and take insane amounts of damage. Any passive damage thus, is a huge buff.

I would guess a rogue hits me between 50 and 100 times in a duel. You do the maths.

Damage gear does not affect this trinket.

What items replace Deathbone gear?

 

There are some Quest items , Raid items such as ZG/MC/BWL and Enchanted Thorium set ;)

Looking at gear through AQ40:

 

 

Chest: Deathbone Chestplate - BiS

 

Gloves: Gauntlets of Steadfast Determination > Gauntlets of the Immovable > Deathbone Gauntlets

 

Belt: Royal Qiraji Belt > Unmelting Ice Girdle > Deathbone Girdle

 

Legs: Deathbone Legguards - BiS > Bloodsoaked Legplates.  (while comparing based off overall - Threat/EHP/DEF they are the same, using Deathbone gives you the +3 def 2 piece bonus of having the chest as well, causing Deathbone Leggaurds to be BiS)

 

Boots: Boots of the Unwavering Will > Bloodsoaked Greaves > Deathbone Sabatons

Honestly speaking about AQ20/40 , i would replace Deathbone with anything that brings more stamina and have defense .

I remember there was much better items than Deathbone but i can't open currently my atlasloot for that :(

 

With AQ20/40 Patch including World Bosses and (probably Icebane) you can have much more defense from Gear than required so i tend to search around for items with more Stamina>Avoidance ;)

You have on Icebane Breastplate in your Screen shot.  Naxx item.  My post references AQ and before.  You also have for legs: Bloodsoaked Legplates

 

Icebane Breastplate:  899 AC + 24 stam + 12 str + 8 Def

Bloodsoaked Legplates: 674 ac + 36 str + 21 Stam + 10 Def

 

You are getting: 1573 ac + 45 Stam + 48 Str + 18 Def

 

Deathbone Chestplate: 636 ac + 12 stam + 17 Def

Deathbone Legguards: 557 ac + 20 stam + 13 Def (+3 def set bonus)

 

You are getting: 1193 ac + 33 stam + 33 Def

 

 

15 Def is a lot compared to 380 AC and 120 HP.

 

You are also using in your screen shot: Icebane Gauntlets over Gauntlets of Steadfast Determination or Gauntlets of the Immovable

 

Icebane Gauntlets: 562 ac + 18 Stam + 9 Str + 5 Def

 

Gauntlets of the Immovable: 482 AC + 18 Stam + 15 Str + 5 Def + 1% Parry

1% Parry & 6 Str > 80 AC

 

Gauntlets of Steadfast Determination: 535 ac + 20 Stam + 19 Str + 18 Agil + 9 Def  - BiS

 

Icebane Bracers (which you have on) are BiS for Pally though.

 

For your weapons, naturally you should have a TPS weapon with +30 SP and an avoidance weapon with 15 agil

 

TPS weapons: Wraith Blade > The End of Dreams >  Sharpened Silithis Femur > Lok'amir il Romathis (close 3rd)

 

Avoidance weapons: Blessed Qiraji War Hammer > Quel'Serrar = Spineshatter

 

Swap weapons mid fight as needed between your best TPS and best avoidance weapon.  If you are really good, swap to TPS weapon when you are able to to use abilities that are SP based, swap right back.  Rotate.

 

If you are going pure threat on a specific target, rotate TPS weapon with Spineshatter (pre War Hammer) since swapping Quel will lose the buff proc.   If you are going pure avoidance use Quel'Serrar over Spineshatter (pre War Hammer).
