Anybody consider organizing a 40 man Elwynn/Westfall Raid on launch day ? =D

Recommended Posts

This was something Frog considered for the launch of the Nostalrius PvE server back when it launched.

In Theory, if a large enough group were organized, we could battle our way west from Northshire, and head straight into Westfall to kill the lvl 9+ mobs!  The exp we gain would be lower because we'd be in a raid group... but has this ever been done?  Would this be a viable plan for day 1 leveling if we got a big enough group organized before launch??

I'd like to put this out there to get some thoughts, feedback, and possible player list for launch day :)

Thanks in advance for any and all advice and assistance!

Frog was thinking we could swing by Hogger and get a nice Server First :)

Then charge into Westfall!!  =D  With 40 low level chars, we should be able to deal with the lvl 9+ mobs in early Westfall

Fight our way down to Sentinel Hill, and then fly back to Stormwind to train up our new skills :)

Meet back up and go raid Moonbrook  (Maybe hitting Foe Reaper 4000 on the way)

Then travel west and finish by taking on Old Murk-Eye!!

How does that sound for an adventure fitting of the day Nostalrius Returns?

If this can all happen, I wonder if players would be high enough level to hop over to redridge on day 1!! :]  Or start running Deadmines!!

All depends on how much exp players in a 40 Elwynn/Westfall raid group would get ;D
