Not sure what you mean.

I want to be able to see what items that can be farmed had their value skyrocket.

Example: let's say Mithril floats at about 90-110% of the market value. However one day someone buys it all because of crafting and the only stack at the AH at that time would be sold for 200% maket value. This would indicate to me that it is a good time to sell all my Mithrill.

But atm I'm unable to search ONLY for the items where the MINIMUM market value is above ie 150%. So when I search for items with market value of 140 - 150%, Aux finds those items but no longer tells me that there are plenty of other auctions with lower prices for the same item.

Any chance of implementing that?

Sorry, no simple way to add that as it's a completely different way of filtering than the current filters which can be evaluated immediately when an auction is found, and it seems useless to 99.99% of players who don't hoard tons of different items to resell.

Besides you can just do a plain search for those items and get almost the same effect with sorting by percentage. You'd have to wait for a full search anyway for a filter like that to work.

First of all, thank you shirsig for making addons. Your addons make vanilla worth playing for me!
I wanned to ask you if you have a version of aux made for TBC? Would making it be a possibility? Thanks.

The dev branch contains a TBC version but it still has some bugs and some features are disabled because of tbc api changes. Also, afaik tbc introduced the get all-scan which it doesn't take advantage of, though I'm not sure if private servers even allow this. https://github.com/shirsig/aux-addon/tree/dev

I'm having a issue getting the addon to work.

I have downloaded the rar and extracted it to the addons.

But when I start up WoW the addon wont show up in the addon window, and doesn't work ingame. Any suggestions?

This is how my Addons folder looks like https://imgur.com/g9FrfDh, and this is how the addon window looks ingame https://imgur.com/UkVI7Ap.

Did I do something wrong when installing?

You need to remove the "-master" from the folder name. Just rename the "aux-addon-master" folder to "aux-addon"

You can go ahead and do that for "AddOnOrganizer-master" as well and change "Chonometer-vanilla-master" to just "Chronometer"

I rather like this addon, however, for the life of me I can't figure out how to get it to come up with a starting price for items that return no scans. Auctioneer used to always default to 300% vendor, which is a good place to start.

Anyone got that side of it to work?

If you have an addon that lists the vendor price of the item then I suppose you could do the math on your own.  Multiply it by 3?  I wouldn't like it if the addon was creating false prices for items that haven't sold for those prices in the past.

I agree with this. Besides, aux is such an addon (that shows vendor prices). It's shown in the tooltip if enabled (/aux tooltip vendor sell) and even if you don't download the database, since the wow api lets you query the vendor price of an item in exactly two places, at a vendor for all your inventory items and at the auction house for an item placed in the auctioning slot, in this case, when trying to create an auction, it should always have the price.

anyone know a filter to search for all enchanting mats? Like dusts shards etc

Something like trade goods/or/dust/essence/shard I guess, though it may match other stuff too.

Hi, I'm having a problem with getting vendor prices on items to show.  I've turned it on with the command

/aux tool tip vendor sell

But it won't show me the value unless I've actually visited a merchant with the item (either on the NPC or in my bag).  I've tried adding the 'static vendor price database' files but it didn't seem to be doing anything.

hello,

so i am new to filters in aux.

how can i make a search filter, that searches for all herbs and sorts them by profit, so i can see what i should search for?

i only found out how to searech for single herbs or how to search for all trade goods.

also how do i make a search filter, that shows me items, that have a higher vendor value, than what i need to pay for it if i buyout or bid?

Edit: I treid to make it like "Plaguebloom/or/Ghost Mushroom", but that doesnt find anything

Howdy,

Firstly, thanks for all your hard work on AUX!  This addon has made auctioneering a lot more tolerable and even enjoyable! So again, thank you!

Sorry if this is a question which was already answered, but l have been experiencing issues with Real Time scan on Elysium.  By using general search strings such as price/10g/percent/80 on Real Time, my expectation would be that everything that has just been posted under that criteria will show up.  But it doesn't seem to be the case, what usually happens is that I get a selection of items, but they never update.

Thinking that my search might be too wide, I changed my search to be more specific, such as Trade Goods/price/10g/percent/60 - and the same thing happens. I get a list of things initially, but they never update. AUX says that it is scanning the last page, but it seems to me like something has been done server side to kill this feature? Any ideas?

Thanks for your time and energy on supporting this addon! :)

-Bob

Hey,

I personally haven't seen Real time search work in quite some time, I remember you said there isn't much you can do about it since it has something to do with the servers, but I'm still wondering if maybe something has changed and this feature might work again?

Thanks!
