MacinJosh 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2016 I've pretty much made up my mind to roll a Paladin on the PvE server. I think that's my best move. I'm wondering what professions would benefit me the most. The following are to be considered: - I will be doing BGs - I won't be raiding most likely - I will be tanking 5-mans - I will be farming for the Unstoppable Force Should I get blacksmithing and mining as I level and at 60, after farming copious amounts of ore, switch mining to Engineering? Should I go for armorsmithing if the Sulfuron Hammer is beyond my reach? Or what should I do considering the above stated points?
simppi 3 Report post Posted December 7, 2016 If you will be doing alot of pvp, engi is very good to have, then you can also make force reactive for tanking.
eXtence 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2016 Before that think of it this way : To level an alt would take you 6 to 9 days /played time. If you want to have blacksmith and engi on the paly, you absolutely need to have mining on alt. Is it worth your personal time to invest 6 to 9 days? If not then stick to engi and mining.

Do I have to be in a raid to get the schematics though? That might be a long shot... Before that think of it this way : To level an alt would take you 6 to 9 days /played time. Would I miss anything from Blacksmithing or would I get everything I need from PvP/5-mans?
El_Risitas 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2016 I think http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=10418 could be useful if you face alot of warlocks in PvP. Im not sure if it is still possible to equip this trinket after unlearning your BS profession, but maybe someone knows.
eXtence 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2016 You cant equip an item that requires a proffession (wich you currently dont have), however it is possible to equip it 1st, then unlearn blacksmithing and the item will still stay equipped. That also means you absolutely should not replace it, ever or else all the effort was gone for nothing

Theloras 108 Report post Posted December 8, 2016 Yes I believe so as well - but it may or may not be broken. Anyway- I would HIGHLY recommend engineering as a Paladin since we do not have any ranged attacks in Vanilla and Iron Grenades are awesome in both PvE and PvP
Xom 8 Report post Posted December 8, 2016 Go Skinning/Mining to begin. Then save some skins for Engi, get your Mount, and respec to Engineering sometime on the way to 60. I find that there are so many skins to get through the basic leveling quests that it's tough to justify respeccing out of skinning before Un'Goro, but since you won't be hurting for money quite as much as a Paladin, you have some lee-way. You can probably nearly save enough for your epic mount before 60 though if you're keen.
