Email on old nost account

So with the release of the new server, I realized that the email linked to my nost account has been deleted by yahoo(idk why). I still have the pw/account to my old account so thats not a problem for now. I know that nost didn't have an option to change emails but Am i allowed to link a new email to my account when the servers releases for Elysium?

I don't get it.  If you have the email account in good working order, and it was linked to the nost account, what are you saying?  That yahoo somehow removed nost's database that your yahoo address was linked to the account?  Or are you just saying that the original email sent from nost, stating success of the link, was deleted?  Would it make any dfference if it was?

 

 

oh...I think you're saying,  "...that the email <account> linked to my nost account" was deleted.    If you never used the account, they do delete accounts, but it takes a real long time.  You can reclaim them by entering the correct credentials, at least you could.  It's been years since I did that, but I did.

I have the same problem - I have the log on details but my email account was closed by my ISP, because it was closing all non cable accounts.

 

There may never be a problem, but it could be one that might hit me in the future.

 

Surely it's better to get this kind of thing sorted now rather than possibly losing everything say a year down the line, because I can't reply to an email from Nost/Elysium.

Ya for some reason yahoo started deleting old email addresses. It was an email i havent used in a long time so it got closed. I just want to know if i could link my current email to my nost account.

When the realms become live, I would submit a ticket with support to update your email address in the database to ensure that everything is working in order. I would stay away from yahoo and go with gmail as I have never seen someone report that gmail has deleted emails or accounts based off of inactivity.

Contact Yahoo! support about reinstating your email address, or this looks like a shady; Tl;Dr:  I plan on buying an account, how can I secure it so they don't change the PW on me.

We do not offer the chance of change the email address linked to an account.

The best thing to do is to either re-register your original yahoo account, or at very least get in contact with them to regain access.

Wait, what?  When he registers his account to transfer here, won't he be in effect changing the email address?  He can enter a new email address here when he creates his account, go claim his old account with account name and password, come back here and deposit his token.  Are you saying that even though he just created a new account with a new email address, it's still linked to the old emal address?

A: If you remember your account name and password, you are fine. If you don't remember those and still don't have access to the email, your account is lost and we cannot help you.

 

 

Why worry about old associated emails now?

Username/Password or Username/Email is all you need for transfer right?

yes, that is definately true.  My question is not about claiming the account, my questions is about email address associated to this newly created Elysium account when you transfer from Nost.  One would worry about which email account is associated with ther game account for account management reasons, i.e. if you wanted to change your password regularly or if somewhere down the road you forget your game account password and need to reset it.

Look on your vanilla wow folder, WTF Folder. Accounts folder, you will see your account name.

If you still have your original Nost WoW folder, you can dig into WTF folder>Account folder and you'll see the account name there.  Account name+email would be enough to transfer your account.
