Roleplay on the new server

Hi guys,

 

A few of us have been talking on the discord RP channel for Elysium/Nost and we were wondering just how many RP'ers are out there!! ordinarily I imagine all RP posts are kept to the RP section of the boards but we are trying to understand firstly, how many there are, the demand for RP and also how it should be organised. We have come up with a few ideas which I will list below:

• A guild for RP
• A server wide chat channel so that people can still join raiding guilds if they want, but would like some RP in there lives!

Now again ordinarily this is also where we would outline what type of RP we do and how it is organised but we thought it would be great to try and relax this a little and give experienced and new people to RP the chance to put there ideas across before deciding what to do.

This was not setup by myself but by one of the other Rpers, we would love to talk and hopefully get something in place and ready to go for when the new server drops, Not that anyone will be able to RP at the beginning due to the server being so laggy it will be unplayable! 

 

Anyway I have added a poll onto the thread if you could selct which one you think would be best and that way we know what the general consesus is.

Yeah we could do both - but this is mostly just to get an idea of numbers so that we dont end up with loads of people asking if there is RP or not on these servers - try to create a community that people know about and know where to go if they want to RP.

Because there are so few people who want to do RP we would need to discuss things like, what faction to be who and how a guild would work - would it have a theme or not and numerous other queries that really do need to have an answer, otherwise people will be scattered across the server and nobody will know if there is a community for RP or not.

 

Bit of a rant I know I just feel that if it is co-ordinated properly then we could have a flourishing RP scene on the new server once it is released.

Having an "RP guild" that encompasses all types of RP seems a bit unnecessary, isn't the point of guilds in RP to be proper factions/guilds where everyone in there is roleplaying together?

As a person who has no interest whatsoever in RP outside of my DnD Wednesday nights, I say to you: RP away, have fun, make sure you don't inconvenience others...somehow...
