feelin dumb, how do i hyperlink?

Usually on forums when i click the link button, it sets up the hyperlink option for me. but it does not do that for me here, at least for me.

 

how do I edit links so i can shorten them to "click here!" and not be long and ugly.

How about using the replace function?

but it doesnt seem to work, its literally replacing things, not changing the way they appear

You click Link and enter your copied link e.g. https://forum.elysium-project.org/index.php?showtopic=24549&hl=.

 

The link is still highlighted if not do so.

 

Then click Replace and enter in the Replace with: box your letters and click Replace All.

 

Close Replace. Here we go. It now says: Click here!

Select the text you want to be a link, then click the link button and paste in the hyperlink. You can also click the light switch in the top left, and it switches to classic BBCode, allowing you to use 

[url][/url]
