killerduki 54 Report post Posted December 17, 2016 (edited) Ait so I feel like confident enough to say reflect was never ment to work on already cast spells but a batch thing made it possible to reflect spells cast at the same time, shortly before/after activating reflect. Do you think it would be nice to have system emulating that possibility? eg adding short window of time after cast when reflector would work? But not to the point when you could reflect spells that nearly touch your face already. For that thing , it needs to have server delay implemented to cover the server lag. Because with server lags i am not sure how this could be possible. /Kind regards Killerduki Edited December 17, 2016 by killerduki
Morathe 5 Report post Posted December 17, 2016 (edited) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ri4otugfny0 11:44 watch the poor gnome kill himself lel. But also watch how he removed iceblock before spell hit him... which directly add to theory that spells effects check for target status on cast not on impact, which would further prove that check for reflector happens at the end of cast thus making it impossible to reflect mid-air spells (minus that batch thing that made it "sorta" possible) Edited December 17, 2016 by Morathe
Morathe 5 Report post Posted December 17, 2016 (edited) Funny thing once happened on pretbc.com server i played. When some1 used frost reflector to reflect hunter freezing trap and then hunter used frost reflector to reflect a reflect. The reflects would bounce between both players until one of their reflects ended and froze the guy. Talking about broken systems O_o In real world it would produce "immune" effect for both players and thats it. Edited December 17, 2016 by Morathe

I heard rumors in Vanilla Traps could be reflected (rumors). /Kind regards Killerduki
Morathe 5 Report post Posted December 17, 2016 (edited) In vanilla, also on Nostalrius you could reflect traps but only single target ones so you can reflect freezing effect from freezing trap... technically you also should be able to reflect immolation trap but hunters rarely use them in pvp and even less people use fire reflectors so that would be hard to find how it worked in retail vanilla. But you can't reflect any of aoe traps like frost or explosive. Edited December 17, 2016 by Morathe
