Raid Reset Times

I'm not sure if it was intended or not as I cannot seem to find any official statement on the intended time of raid resets, but my guild had ZG reset on us in the middle of our run last night. We are a North American guild who raided on Nost, and raid 8pm-midnight Eastern Time Zone (2am-6am Server Time). I believe raids reset on Nost at 4am Eastern/10am Server Time, which meant it didn't interfere with NA or EU guilds raiding schedules.

 

If this is intended, that means no NA guilds can raid on reset day, and means they also can't raid ZG or Ony on a day they reset (since it varies). This is a HUGE problem in my opinion. Obviously it effects me more than an EU player, but Nost and now Elysium, have a fairly large NA player base, and it seems odd to ignore that fact.

 

Hopefully this was just a mistake as I saw there was a hotfix to address raids not reseting, but I'm concerned the hotfix was unrelated and my guild cannot play on this server, despite putting in countless hours into the characters we recently reacquired from the Nost shut down. I'm very glad to have my character back, and am impressed by how well the Elysium staff is running the server, but not being able to raid evenings is equivalent to not being able to play at all to me.

Nostalrius had this solved. It should be the same here.

 

If you want this to be a multinational server (you obviously do) then this is one of the most important issues that needs dealing with.

 

Please use Nostalrius' reset times.

Glad to see EU support I loved the massive multinational community of Nost and now Elysium, hope it can be maintained here.

Thanks for that link! I see the last post is by Nano and says:

 

"The reset time will be 10am GMT +1 for Raid Resets and server updates, if needed. This is the final decision."

 

This would be 4am EST, which is exactly what I suggested and what I believe Nost was, which is great; but Nano's post was made on the 15th and I had a ZG reset mid-raid on the 22nd. So I guess my suggestion is to sync raid resets with weekly maintenance so everything occurs at 10am GMT+1 (if this is not how it currently is and the ZG reset was a bug).

4am EST screws over Aussies who wouldn't even be able to raid on that day as reset would be at raid start time or just a bit after. It could be a bone being thrown for a change to international players who for many years have been screwed over in favor of NA players.

The reset will be the same as it was on Nostalrius. We've had little teething issues with the launch but those are being solved.
