noobbunker 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2016 This is my first time playing WOW . I know I could go to the retail version, but I want to expereice the game on this version first. My neighbor loves it but he is out of town for the next week so cant ask him for help. I play Final Fantasy XIV and have played tons of RPG from the mid 80's to today. I understand that this is the harder version of WOW. Im fine with that . I too have seen FFXIV get a lot easier over time as well. I kina see why this server was formed. I have a level 4 warrior on this WOW server right now. I was wondering , as a new persons to this version of WOW, what advice you guys can give toget me started. So far, Im able to do missions alone. I know that will change soon. I could use any tips you wish to provide to make sure I dont mess up in dungeons or raid events.
Shayss 43 Report post Posted December 24, 2016 (edited) If you choose a caster, drink whenever you can in dungeons. Watch your surroundings. Don't aggro random s.hit. Spacial awareness is big. If your class has buffs. Keep them up. Always repair before you leave a town/city. Repair whenever you can. Don't randomly break CC. casperthestoner 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2016 If you continue to play as a warrior, expect to be asked to everyone's dungeon group to tank.if you have a mage in your party do not attack an enemy that has been sheeped.always kill healers and then dps casters first because they will hurt you most. I would also advice not to run through enemy groups expecting to get past them alive because "Daze" is absolutely ridiculous in vanilla

Bruno 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2016 WoW is like flying a modern aircraft. You monitor your instruments, and make sure everything is okay. There is actually very little flying involved, until something goes wrong. Much like in aviation, most accidents are caused by human errors.
Xaelum 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2016 (edited) Whats CC ? I have never hear of this term. Also thanks s for the tips so far, I appreciate the advice as well. I look forward to seeing more tips as well Crowd Control (stuns, slows, disables etc.) if you have a mage in your party do not attack an enemy that has been sheeped. P.S. Loot everything, even the grey items, get bags and hoard items then go vendor them for profit. Also get gathering professions and sell mats on Auction House (familiarize yourself with it, it will be your new home). Don't waste money on items (perhaps for a weapon if needed), you will get plenty of loot in Dungeons/Quests. Moreover, save even more money by not buying every single spell, just the ones you need (you'll get that in time). And never, EVER, ninja (need items you either don't need or can't use) during Dungeons just so you can get gold off of them. Keep an eye out on general chat for people Looking For Group/More (go as DPS at first, but as a Warrior tanking will get you groups easier) P.S.S. Hopefully the forum doesn't crash again so this message finally gets through xdd Cheerz! Edited December 24, 2016 by Xaelum

JunkShop 1 Report post Posted December 25, 2016 As a warrior, always have lots of food and potions, you'll need them. Buy a gun or bow asap and pull mobs to a safe area instead of charging in, but be prepare to die, probably a lot. Accept it, embrace it, it's going to happen, especially if you solo quest for the most part.
