Unclefucker 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2016 Hey all, Was thinking about which class would be the most resilient (and/or dangerous) while leveling on a PvP server and I want your opinions on this. Shaman Seems really strong after 30 where you get WF and grounding totem just when interaction with alliance starts to be intense (STV etc). LHW is great as well. Also pretty useful at endgame and group PvP. Paladin Extremely durable and very strong in 1vs1 (or even 1vs2). Very boring leveling but this is not an issue. Great at group PvP and endgame. Warlock Fear is very strong especially as Horde. CoEx can kite extremely well. Cons: Problematic before you get death coil, clothie, life tap mechanic can make you vulnerable. Best survival talent (SL) makes leveling boring and tedious. Good at endgame. Warrior No Priest Well... Not sure, really. Healing, offensive dispells and PW:S is cool but not sure if durable while leveling. Good at endgame ofc Mage Warlock wannabe, vending machine. They are strong but I cannot even think of me playing this фекал class. Do not flame. It is a pure personal preference here. I really don't care even if this is the strongest option. Rogue Pretty strong at picking fights. If caught not in stealth ==>ваууed. Good dps at endgame. Overall a good choice if you like this type of game. Hunter Yeah we all know how string this is. With tracking you can detect people from miles away, Hunter's Mark rogues is nice for the lols, really strong in general, not the best at endgame. What is your opinion on this matter. I am interesting especially on the first 3 and priest and any downsides on Rogues/Hunters. Thanks for your time!
vulkan 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2016 (edited) Druids are out of the question, eh? Played a warlock to level 45 back in vanilla days, but I don't really remember much of it. Pretty boring at times, but strong DPS and strong at turning ganks around. Can't really give any insight on shamans or paladins... except that paladin is the most boring class of them all. Oh, and I will never give them an opportunity to tank or heal an instance. Leveling a warrior is the most masochistic thing you can do: pull more than one mob and you're done. Things get a little easier when you get your Whirlwind Axe and a lot easier in the end. Able to pull off some brutal dmg. Recently played one to level 35 on old Nost, but got fed up with it. Mages are very fun to play, extremely strong in both PvE and PvP and very desirable in dungeons due to their CC. A pain in the попа for most classes. Priests... Duh, BORED! Next please. Hunter is the easiest class to level, but has an extremely high skill ceiling. You can suck hard (I mean HARD) if you are a bit confused with your class and rotation etc. Mastering the hunter is difficult, but very rewarding. Probably rolling this one. IMHO rogue is the most fun class to play due to its decent difficulty. That said, rogues are one of the easiest kills out there if they don't know how to play. Same goes for huntards - skilled hunters are a pain in the попа though. Eh... This post probably wasn't informative at all. Sorry for that, move along. Antipatra 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2016 I will never give them an opportunity to tank or heal an instance. And I thought I was the only one. Paladin hate unite!
sonasol 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2016 (edited) I think a priest can kill any class of same lv and the leveling process is very easy, one dot and finish with wand. All the other classes got a counter part. A mage can easily kill a melee but is easily killed by a warlok or priest, this same warlok gets destroyed by melee. (This while lvling) Edited December 26, 2016 by sonasol
Unclefucker 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2016 What about Shaman vs Lock (seems these 2 are my favorite) on this matter. I know the deal at level cap.
Antipatra 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2016 Shaman is better elemental at this stage than enhancement. or healing. honestly, it shouldn't matter. play whatever is fun for you. playing a class you don't really like would be dumb. i play warriors. warriors are almost terrible at everything, but i still like playing them.
vulkan 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2016 (edited) one dot and finish with wand. Wow, you sound like you love challenges. What about Shaman vs Lock (seems these 2 are my favorite) on this matter. I know the deal at level cap. I'd go for a class that has a bit of challenge and versatility to it. This is what makes a class fun for me - picking a class solely on the notion "which is the best in PvP blahblah" is stupid IMO. I'm willing to bet shaman wins in this department. In a shaman vs lock PvP situation the warlock usually has the edge, but a good shaman can outplay them (lock Shadow school out with shocks, grounding + tremor totems, WF crits etc.) Edited December 26, 2016 by vulkan
szuszak 2 Report post Posted December 26, 2016 (edited) you cant kill a druid with half a brain if he dsnt want to fight(Unless you outgear him, outlvl him or catch him with 40%hp as rogue into a stunlock) yeah i think im rolling a druid on fresh pvp since i have a warrior now on pve lots of options for endgame too (even if some of them require lots of effort to pull off like competetive raiding feral lol) but since we are talking about pvp realm here than a balance resto hybrid with bearcharge is a monster for endgame just watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCvb8MwvsD4&feature=youtu.be https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWh2HgRiegc Edited December 26, 2016 by szuszak

vulkan 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2016 (edited) True. But you have to consider that you - as a tank - will have an easy life finding groups for dungeons. That is correct. I intentionally left that part out, as the OP denied interest in the class from the get-go. I enjoyed tanking to some extent. I mean this is not an ordinary druid. He outplays his opponents like вау. I think he must outgear them though. His damage is a bit insane. Are you confident you can play like him? And BTW the same guy has two other videos on warlock ownage Edited December 26, 2016 by Unclefucker
szuszak 2 Report post Posted December 26, 2016 (edited) yeah i know i can using about 30ish keybinds in every mmo i ever played (if its possible lol looking at you bdo) and i have been highranked in retail in couple expansions(as druid or war or dk(lol)) and 1st rank as druid on private server before (alpha wow in tbc when it was the most popular private server before avy ваууed it all up) so yeah im not saying im better than the person that made the vid but i can match that lvl but those vids are when ppl have the gear druid is rly friendly while lvling because of low downtime, own heals and stealth when needed , also if you are tauren you got additional aoe stun when in shitty spot than travel and gtfo and another part is that you tank np while lvling as feral so getting or making groups isnt a problem so the lvling process is even smoother(the problem is bag space lol if you decide to keep a healing gear set as well) Edited December 26, 2016 by szuszak
vulkan 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2016 (edited) I hope this video will change your mind about mages: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IlpSeU5FZas Unknown II by Pathologist. Legendary vanilla glass-cannoning at its best. While PoM+pyroing was risky, inefficient and a bit of gambling, it was incredibly fun. Please note that this is not the absolute original video. It's a guerrilla version I made with the soundtrack reinserted and synced, as the one publicly in YouTube is missing its audio track due to a copyright issue, so there might be some inconsistencies. If someone has the original video stored somewhere, please let me know! Edited December 26, 2016 by vulkan
