Account Hacked between 30/12 (evening) & 31/12(morning)

Hello i've been hacked between yesterday evening & today.
My rogue is empty, as the bank and all the golds i had.
I logged off in Barrens, logged in today in Orgrimmar with nothing.

Since the release of Elysium i wasn't active dat much so i got only few screenshots of my char

What can i do ?

I have the same problem. I have a rogue too. My acc was also hacked and i'm in the same situation as you. I opened a ticket and the answer was that...

Im waiting for an official respond and an answer about why they do not refund if it's a no.
Because it's gotta be easy to restore golds/items with logs ...

They never refund for people who did not change passwords when instructed to do so. They cannot restore things from a database they don't even run.

I got the same problem. Is these forums the only place to contact someone running the server?

I want a clear answer from the staff, why are they no refunding any items/golds ?
I'll not refarm everything i got. So either they restore everything either i'm leaving.

The staff is not able to restore the lost gold & items since they can't look through multiple hundreds of hacked and emptied accounts. Especially since GM's are not able to do so, only very few GM's as well as the admins are able to look through everything.

 

The amount of time they would need to investigate one account alone is just too much. They need to handle 2 server (soon 3) full of tickets, the forums, a lot of ban appeals, bots, etc. All in their freetime.

 

You can't expect them to restore it either, since its unfortunately your own fault for using the same credentials on multiple forums and/or servers. With doing that you just ask for getting your account hacked.

You should also know that you have to use unique log/pass and preferably unique email for every account you create on any private server. Admins already announced that there are at least 2 servers which leaked/sold their databases. You also had a chane to make completely new login/pass/email when you transfered your char via token.

Yeah.. did all that, never played any servers other than nost and elysium (assuming they did't sell their db?) Still new account, new email (from the one used on nost) new account name and password using a minimum of 2 upper case and 2 numbers, longer than 9 chars in both! On a rig that runs retail avast+norton updated and scanning on every shutdown/daily.

Still got hacked, still lost all progress and numerous quest items that i can't ever get back Thnx RNGesus i  hadn't completed onyxia quest chain yet. But zf mallet and mara scepter is gone 4 ever, along with my beloved Nat Pagle's Extreme Angler FC-5000 and other bits and pieces.

Lost more than 450g in cash and 18 16slot bags filled with sweet anticipation of demand for new enchanting mats for next patch. Close to full mailbox on 10 chars with nothing but valuables.

I don't care about the cash tbh, but the bags and the countles hours farmed as well as my gear. Not that it was anything spectacular, but starting out all over on a toon with no gear and no gold, is no easy task.

But they didn't delete my ivory raptor, so i can still look cool i guess ......  Broke af... but cool.

So can i get back  quest items ? (like onyxia neck for the entrance ? nature whisperer from my nr gear ? the trinket loofa ? etc...)

For this you have to create an ingame ticket.

 

To create ingame tickets you have to use the category "stuck"

You could use a custom login with a custom pw and an email only used for Elysium and have your account compromised because they aren't going after the player but the Elysium database where they get the info. That means in much of a way a pw change doesn't mean a damn thing and even 2PA is faulty because they are the ones being hacked.

Thing is GM doesn't repond as they are in the middle of shitstorm. But you're damn right about it Syanis. I can refarm my stuff, but i want some items back... It could be possible if they dare respond requests.

You can assume they are using proper hashing for any password related information. So no, these cases of people getting 'hacked' is definitely their own fault. Identical passwords, simple passwords, key loggers, account sharing with people with filthy PC's, anything can be the cause. Virus scanners won't pick up everything either. 

If their database was truly insecure, we'd see a hell of a lot more so called hacked accounts.
