Ozolz 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2017 Any plans on sorting out the lack of sound channels? Very often even in 5man if a lot is going on one owns spell sound effects gets cut out, i suspect due to lack of sound channels. There is no setting to increase these channels that I know of. Found one fix but involved modifying wow.exe and thats a sure way to get banned. Anyone know if this issue is related to private server? Or just normal Vanilla behaviour?
DarkRonin00 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2017 This a software issue and the way the game was created. Not an issue relating to the server.
Kes 1 Report post Posted January 5, 2017 I had the same issue and found a way to increase the number of channels. Enter each of these commands in-game and then restart your client. /console SoundMemoryCache 128 /console SoundMaxHardwareChannels 128 /console SoundSoftwareChannels 128 Let me know if this works for you.

Sounds great, do you know a way to have it in config files so you don't have to type it (or press a macro) every time to log-in ?

Yeah, it should automatically save in the config files. So you only need to enter them one time.
Pottu 290 Report post Posted January 5, 2017 That config file addition is the only thing you can do. There is nothing about sound channels that we can do server side.
