45-50 quest slump?

Recommended Posts

I've hit a major questing slump now that I've reached level 45. I've done the first round of quests in Tanaris, Feralas and the Hinterlands, done all ZF and Uldaman quests and everything that opened up now in Searing Gorge and the previous 3 zones is 48-50.

Is it just me or is this level range seriously stretching it this thin?

Go to bed.

On a serious note, there are many quests between Tanaris, Ferelas and Hinterlands that are linked which you will have to make many trips to complete and it's honestly not worth the time unless you need a specific item such as mallet. It's common knowledge that grinding is far better at this level and that Vanilla does not have "enough" quests. I find it hard to believe that someone who has already reached level 45 didn't foresee this. I get the impression you just made this post to brag or something.

Did you skip out on a ton of quests? By level 46 I found myself with plenty of quests to do.

It's like a professional runner asking what workouts to do... I think you can understand the point.

Admittedly I'm a little salty though because I can't get on lol

I think players forget the Vanilla was designed to ultimately force players to go to every zone. Do 6-10 quests here, now jump to another zone or two, get another 8-12 quests done then head back to a zone you've already been in.

The 45-50 slump I would suggest checking out Feralas, maybe trying to get a few done in Azshara, and depending on class (sounds like you have sick dps to even clear quests so fast) but I would think about heading to Un'Goro.

Hope this helps.

Brag with level 45? Stay salty. I made the thread to see if anyone else ran into this issue and how they handled it.

Thanks but I am sceptical about doing this since that just delays the issue - I'll run into the same issue at 55 if I keep borrowing quests from that range.

I think I'll just run a few dozen ZF / Uldaman runs.

Oops meant to say "Felwood" not Feralas.

These are zones you will need to start working on when your lvl50 Class Quest comes along anyways. And each zone is tailored to the 45-50 lvl requirements you needed. So you're not borrowing from anything. That's just how Vanilla was created. So do a few quests here, then they get to high lvl for you forcing you to another zone for a little while.

That range is tough. It took me 6+ hours each to level in that range. Yesterday I did 56-57 in about 3.5 hours. That's how it was in Vanilla. It gets better.

It's also a good time to simply grind an area, to start saving for your epic mount.
