HOW HARD is it to fix the afk problem?

Seriously? This server has had a steady 4-12k que for over a week, with thousands of kids sitting afk at login screen not being kicked.

For the next two weeks or so, until the new player population dies down, make everyone who goes /AFK for more than 5 minutes automatically kicked to account login screen. Que speeds will improve dramatically.

How hard is this?

FYI there is a kick in place for the char selection.

 

Also, obviously the most people try to prevent the AFK kicks ingame as well as char selection, this results usually in a ban tho.

If it usually resulted in a ban, Elysium-PVP wouldn't constantly suffer from a queue while visibly under the player cap.  There are afk cheaters everywhere.  What little enforcement there is, is totally ineffectual in discouraging this behavior.  The staff are not doing what needs to be done.  They're not nearly hard enough on the playerbase.

Yep, I experienced this earlier. If you sit there for more than 5 minutes or so, it says "Session terminated" and kicks you back to the login screen.

To account login screen or character login screen? Also, if you log out of your account momentarily, then log back in, it does not put you back into the que, it reserves your position and lets you right back in.

The realm select screen, while on the character screen.
