XXerdon 1 Report post Posted January 14, 2017 Hey, could you please increase the respawn rates for lootable quest items for the new servers? I'm trying to bring back Felix's stuff but it's impossible. Ten or more people waiting and clicking like hell. Thanks.
Tinkler 2 Report post Posted January 14, 2017 (edited) It seems like a lot of things should have little or no respawn time. For example, part of the Legend of Stalvan chain requires looting a box in a church in westfall. It's not a treasure hunt kind of thing. The box has one specific location. In my opinion, that box should spawn after 1 second. SM Library has a book quest for Alliance with a similar issue. The book only exists in 1 place, but it spawns every 5-10 minutes, which means the group can't all do it at once. People fight over it. Altan 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2017 This is what queues are formed for :) Just move on to another quest. If you're like me and a completionist, then you can come back to complete it later.

lexmor 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2017 +1, needs to be increased! Just waited 30 mins on Bingles' supplies (for 1 item to spawn!) - with 10 ppl waiting for the same item impossible to complete in a reasonable time.
evaniwastaken 4 Report post Posted January 17, 2017 yes i would be ok with this, as long as they don't over do it same with npcs, i think the spawn timers should be cut in half it would still require some waiting but not as much.

It's very easy to get stuck there and run out of quests to do, but you miss out on the later quests (and a lot of XP) if you move on. kindgokind 1 Report post Posted January 17, 2017 Slightly offtopic. Drop rate of Sida's bag from oozes is so little, 2hrs on one char, nearly 1.5 on another and still didn't drop. Maybe it's blizzlike, haven't completed this quest earlier.
Lehman Russ 13 Report post Posted January 17, 2017 (edited) Dynamic respawns and drops are affected directly by the amount of people in a zone. The more people there are, the faster things will respawn. You have to be quick and diligent because instant cast spells like a Mage's fire blast are cancerous. Or like how a hunter can Arcane shot one mob, and send his pet to tank two more. Edited January 17, 2017 by Lehman Russ

Or like how a hunter can Arcane shot one mob, and send his pet to tank two more. This really has nothing to do with the quest items that are object-based and located on the game map. Items that need to be picked up from object containers (note: Not looted from dead NPCs) need to be spawning faster. This issue is compounded by the fact that these servers are populated by a wide range of time zones. Most region based servers experience moments of prime time, and moments of down time. This server does not experience this, because the normal prime time for one time zone is the down time for another, and vice versa. All this time zone talk simply means that a certain quest objective might have a 100% demand time throughout the clock. Which, in the end, begs for a quick respawn time of quest objectives. I think the common goal is to remain blizz-like, but for things that are not blizz-like, such as constant prime time, things need to be adjusted accordingly. This quest object respawn time is only one of many things that could benefit.

pôckett 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2017 Same situation happens with the elite quests in redridge, waiting for 20mins or so for it to spawn while 2-3 groups of people are hoping to tag the named elite needed to kill for the quest. Better hope you are lucky because even with mages its still hard to be the first tag.
