Delay/lag on stance shift (Rogue, Druid, Warrior)

Recommended Posts

Hi, some sort of delay is inevitable at 10000+ players but from what I understand it is handled in such a way that most player actions have minimal lag (using skills etc) and then less important aspects of gameplay like interacting with NPCs and looting mobs is much more laggy. My skills are pretty responsive right now with 11000 online but my stealth / vanish are insanely laggy and talking to druids I hear they have the same problem when shifting forms. I can only assume that warriors also have a problem with this. Are the devs aware of this and is it part of ongoing improvements to the server or have stance changes and action bar shifts been overlooked? Thanks.

When you got this many players online it's inevitable. Hunter pets get fucked hard too, unable to attack/claw/bite anything moving.

Its not about being closer to server or not.Everybody has this lag that u are talking about.

Its because vanilla client cant hold this many people.

U could give zeth kur a go , their is literally no lag their and some extent anathema when its 8k pop XD

Druid shapeshifting

Warrior stancedancing and sometimes u cant charge because enemy put u in combat

Mage iceblocking

Warlock global cooldown increases when applying dots

Hunter pets like u mentioned

Paladin casting heals , same goes for priest and shaman

So every class has a problem. But it affects the healers less than the others tho.

Certain abilities are worse than others. I rolled a Priest and found that instant casts were(or at least felt) the worst. I never got used to it. Went on Zeth'Kur and it seems non existent there.

This is exactly why I went to Zeth, from Elysium. As a Hunter on Ely it was soooo frustrating. I'd send my pet in / shoot a mob at the same time, the mob would start charging to me while my pet charging to the mob to intercept, with Growl toggled on auto cast. However 9/10 times the pet would run 5 yards or so passed the mob charging towards me, then turn around and start chasing the mob that's now in my face. I'd basically have to take 1-2 hits from the mob before the pet would get to it / taunt it off.  Soooo fucking annoying.

Of course there are ways to avoid it like boar charge, or conc shot as the pet is on the way to it etc. However I **NEVER** have this problem on Zeth. Everything reacts instantly and smooth. I can pull a mob and then pet in and the mob will never get to me because the pet taunt will work flawlessly compared to Ely. Honestly, I imagine many people on Elysium that PvP at 60 are going to feel "skill capped" because the game simply won't be able to do things as quickly as they want. For example a Mage seeing .5 seconds left of an enemy healer's spell and spamming counter spell as fast as he can, but with the bit of delay the counter spell lands after the spell went off and he fails locking out the resto tree... not because he couldn't do it in time, but just because the server couldn't react in time to what he wanted to do.

I'm fucking loving life on Zeth though, smoothest, cleanest and most responsive WoW server I've played, probably ever <3.
