You're welcome:) Want to thank me for something else?

On my part I thank you for creating a drama that dragged more people here so they could see my question :)

Ya thought so.  This guy's just a troll.  spineless one at that.  ha.  Why don't you go see if there's some AOL chatrooms more to your speed?  You'd seem clever there.

Yeah, because I really want to hear your nonsense over a mic. Nice logic. Especially when it has nothing to do with anything, as I pointed out already. I have to admit, that's a brand new kind of "special."

What's new to you, is being present for your brand of bullshit.  I'm sure that must be frightening to you.  You must be an internet baby.

You still don't get it. I don't care what you have to say. I don't use Discord, and none of that has any bearing on this thread. You're being retarded.

This was due to a security breach. There were, from what has been released, multiple hackers. They were modifying information directly in the data-base. This means a couple of things.

  • Access to accounts was compromised
  • Not all information in the Data-base is genuine
  • Information may have been backed up
  • Confidential information may be leaked/stolen

If you see someone running around with something they shouldn't have all you can do is report them for investigation. Returning the database to its original state would require a roll back, but they have no knowledge of when the breach first occurred.

If confidential information was stored within the database(which it is) then there is a chance that your information may be in the hands of someone you didn't agree to release it to. Which isn't your fault! I don't think there's anything to worry about there. Elysium doesn't accept donations through their site.

That's about all I have for the moment.

I'm not talking to you any longer in this thread son.  Pick up the messages and respond there.

I have no intention of using PMs either. Haven't you noticed how those go directly into the trash without response?

I dont understand all that harrasment against the staff.

They're all spent their free time, that other people can play in their free time.

Why dont create the whiners and haters a Vanillaserver project on their own ? In their free time !?

There are more than 40k accounts and round about 20 people hacked ! What do some idiots think , how easy it is to find that few accounts ? It cost plenty of time ! Time ! To find that issues!

And i personally think none of us has any right to overreact here. Its a private project and everyone signed in for playing here for free ! None of us has any rights ! Dont forget this !

Noone need to play here.

And if anyone has the knowledge to do this better in running the project correcter than the staff , he should correspondent direct with them to help ! Not to whine and cry !

You're not wrong, however, let it be known that something like this should have been caught sooner.

I am NOT saying anyone didn't do their job, but when changes are being made to character tables in the database then the SQL development team should have saw it quickly. This is why SQL has an option for IP restrictions. That means if the IP doesn't match the account it's created with for accessing the Database then it will not go through, even if the credentials are matching.

Guess what that means? If you said there was an account that lacked this feature; you would more than likely be correct. There is another option though: there could have been an account made for the hacker(s) to access the DB through. Which would mean this has been going on for a long time, probably before the launch when things were still being set-up. If that's the case then this was a HUGE oversight by the SQL team.
