Pankus 1 Report post Posted January 25, 2017 Its something you should do from time to time its like a history of your client and when outdated can cause some issues over time. Every time you launch the game and new folder is created and the server references it for info in game. An example would be, if you had an old WDB from ages ago and they change the stats on an item in game then yours would display incorrectly, when you delete the 'cache' and it creates a fresh one the item will display correctly.

Sillyturtle 0 Report post Posted January 25, 2017 You should absolutely delete your WDB file. It's not very important to keep. If you play on more than one server, and another server has different item stats than what's on our servers here, your items will not display stats correctly. For example, it might show an item that's supposed to be blue as green, with far lesser stats. Do yourself a favor and delete the WDB folder with each patch update.
Stormhart 12 Report post Posted January 25, 2017 If you delte your WDB folder, it gets recreated once you launch the game again. You can always play it safe and copy the WBD folder out your WoW folder, so it's possible to restore, but you'll almost never have to restore it.
