Orpheus148 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2017 (edited) Hey, I'm looking for a spec suggestion. Right now I'm level 30 and been putting points in as a DP/Shadowburn build. I really dislike how much mana this build uses though. I don't plan on doing much if any raiding at 60 just max level dungeons for the dungeon sets and pvp. So one that would fit both of those. Thanks! I'm thinking about SM/Ruin pvp version. Also what demon is best suited for this build? Edited February 6, 2017 by Orpheus148
Heymom 1 Report post Posted February 6, 2017 Since you are leveling, look at the sticky and follow that.

Ok I respecced again for the last time for a while I hope. I went with the leveling guide you suggested, which is using (30/21/0). Rotation wise should I not even bother with Immolate? and how often should I be using Shadowbolts until i get Nightfall? mird99 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2017 Immolate is not necessary, but still usefull sometimes. I dont bother with it usually because it doesnt benefit from suppression or +shadow damage. You shouldnt use shadowbolts while questing. I dont even use them when nightfall procs most of the time, it's not mana efficient. Using your wand is usually enough and saves time on mana regeneration. Agony/Corruption + wand is enough while questing/grinding. Siphon Life is usefull when the target lives long enough to get a decent number of ticks out of it. No need to pause ever if you do it like this. Btw, get Dark Pact. If you get 30 in Affliction, might as well invest another point. You will want to respec at 60 anyway and Dark Pact is really usefull in the mean time.

Dont bother with anything but CoA, Corr, and using your wand.. if the mob dies while CoA is still ticking, it can be argued that you should leave CoA out. I would use both DOTs if you have the mana. If you dont have a large amount of SPI i would hold out on getting the 2/2 in imp. drain soul, as the mana regain will be minimal, so pick those talents when you have to for tree progression. gl :)
suhail1200 3 Report post Posted February 8, 2017 What Mird said and others.Corruption with agony and then wand for leveling since most of the time the wand does similar dmg to your shadowbolts when leveling since u dont have shadow gear. I tend to do immolate-->corruption in 1 global and then agony then wand it.Drain soul if i have to.I go soul link always rather than siphon life for leveling since soul link is better for wpvp and pvp.I remember a twink 39 rogue trying to kill me but couldnt and i killed him in wpvp.He used 4 times stealth with those cables and still died OP as hell XD.
Magrim 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2017 (edited) It depends on level and mob HP, try to get them to die at a convenient time for dots. If they are my level or higher I usually go all the dots with VW on, while he's tanking that I wind up a shadow bolt at max range on a different mob followed by an immolate which will hit at the same time start rapping fear (if done right the mob won't even get one melee) then Corr and COA and hopefully they're dead by the time fear ends. WibbleWobble 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2017 What the others have said is true if you plan to grind mobs. Personally I don't like grinding mobs for hours. I only quest and run instances to level 60. With that said, I have found the pet tree useful and especially Soul Link, pet sacrifice and fel domination. Amazing for PVP which in my opinion is more useful than being the most efficient at killing mobs one by one. The pet sacrifice gives you unlimited mana when destroying the felhunter which is useful for instances.
