You get handed gear of every color without much effort. And once you get that legendary drop it feels pretty meh. Professions isn't much work. Gold is plenty. And the only thing to do is logging in and do these tedious dailys over and over. And a world boss spawns. Yay! You go there, throw some spells, get another purple. I usually end up going old raids for some mount or legendary I don't already have. Doing some PvP, which I still enjoy. To me it just doesn't feel like an epic adventure anymore. It just easy leveling and dailys. But I haven't done any serious raiding since pandaland. Will you be disappointed? Well, I would think so. PvP is still rather fun but not very rewarding. If you're not doing "serious" raiding it doesn't have much epicness to offer. That's my opinion at least. that's pretty much how I felt too. I quit right after the new models were added, I didn't get legion. I just wasn't interested. There *are* some things I like about retail that we don't have in vanilla, mostly little things. Like eating while shapeshifted, or using faeryfire while shapeshifted or switching between forms without having to be humaniod first.
csant 3 Report post Posted March 17, 2017 I play retail for the pvp and nothing else. I have zero interest in raiding. I prefer to waste my time here on Elysium. =)

Ragingducks 9 Report post Posted March 17, 2017 I've bought Legion and played the first 30 days. You are a drop of sand in the middle of a massive desert and you have no real incentive to talk to people, let alone group with them. It feels like a solo game. After a couple of days, I felt like I was completing a chore, nothing like that addiction I felt when playing Vanilla. Spells/skills seem so meaningless, as if they have no real distinction from one another. Everything is empty, soulless and after a few hours it gets tedious, even with these great-looking zones that make much better use of your 2017 hardware.

For me its just that almost all my friends have stop playing so I'm usually left to pug stuff and its not fun.
AshRain 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2017 I think leveling after cata is perfect! All quests have a really good story behind, but they have no more challenge in it. It's not good, it's not bad. It's just a different game now with different gameplay
JayEmEl720 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2017 My main problem with retail is the timeline/storyline flow is all borked to shit.
