(Forum Suggestion): Enable Moderation for all accounts that make a post for the 1st time

As you see, the Chinese Goldsellers have started to create forum accounts and spam all forums with gold selling ads.

To prevent this, the Forum Admin should enable automatic moderation of all accounts that post for the first time. this means that everyone's first post will have to be approved by a moderator.

This will kill their ads around the forums.

Forum spam seems to be getting removed pretty quickly.

Shame they don't police the actual game this well.

Because they can't monitor all chat channels on every server for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

 

There is more important stuff to do as a GM, that includes tickets and hunting bots etc.

Enabling 1st post moderation would be extremely time consuming, even more so than policing gold-spam via our forums.

With this in mind, we'll be sure to look into this as a possible solution.

Their posts seems to last from 5 to 15 minutes (and they spam every sub forum, a good 8 of them are up right now as I write) which is already enough harm done I believe ?

OP's suggestion is definitely worth the hassle. Definitely more worth the hassle than moderating legit forum accs/players with 99% of posts being helpful/providing information or suggestions.

You can't have a filter system auto hiding threads containing certain keywords since they would manage to bypass them just like they try to do in game.
