As to why there are constant DDoS attacks on Elysium, this is pretty normal for MMO private servers. It happens in the UO community as well. It even happens with popular Minecraft servers. Other, less popular server owners think they will gain population by DDoS'ing their competitors. And truth be told they do get a slight bump in population when they do this. That's why they continue to do it. But if you leave the popular server for a less popular one all that happens is that server gets popular and starts getting DDoS'ed. Just learn to live with it. And give the Elysium staff some time to learn how to run this massive project. It takes time, and they are making good progress. 98% is pretty unacceptable, yes. I use a lot of free services like Outlook/Gmail, CNN.com, and a ton of apps on my iPhone. Free doesn't mean unreliable. Also, I would learn to live with it if Elysium were the only realm they had. But it goes down for not just DDOS but overloading / overpopulation, and ZK doesn't suffer those problems, hence the much better uptime. Elysium will always be going down more frequently for as long as it has 8000+ people trying to connect at once.
