gold is really not that hard to make, my highest toon is a 41 warlock so far and I can make up to 50g a day depending on what I'm doing to make it. Farm cloth/greens and sell disenchanted reagents: 10-25g per day and you still get to quest and train depending if you are farming smart and killing the right stuff.

Buy and Sell on AH: if you're good with money and watching the market for hot selling items 30-500g per day, just got to have a little start up cash to get the buying/selling started.

 

So theres no excuses, the opportunities are there, people who make excuses to take stupid shortcuts that hurts the entire game at the same time are just too lazy but also too proud to admit how lazy they are ( or how bad they are at farming gold and just WoW in general )

You admit that you did it, but then say it is alleged.  So you know what you did was an offense which you get banned for.  No, "legitimate," player is going to defend you because you are an idiot gold buyer.

Just do both.  Why not punish both the seller and the abuser?  They don't punish the abuser because it's fun, they do it because they are part of the problem.

I got banned for buying gold in January at level 41. Had the same thoughts - wished it was only a temporary suspension/gold wipe etc I immediately pleaded guilty to the offence and hoped to be unbanned with a character wipe. It just wasn't going to happen, the GMs are very clear about it.

Decided to create a new account a month ago after having a break, now I'm lvl 37 with 145g. It's not that hard and I'm a very casual player with not much time to devote. Trust me, you'll do things differently and enjoy the game much more with a new account. 

Just give up on the ban appeals, they will not take you anywhere. You are definitely not getting unbanned.
Create a new account, pick mining/skinning and focus on making gold while leveling. Don't rush to level cap, enjoy the experience.

Going to go ahead and lock this thread. Buying gold is a permanent ban. It is against our ToU to purchase gold.

 

Besides banning players who are buying the gold, the sellers also get banned and the gold they get to sell you, comes from hacking your friends and the other players on the server who have weak protection. Then they turn around and sell it to you.
