Resto Druid Spec Help

Hello,

 

I've been reading around and I decided to post this because I wanted to try to figure out which specs work best for which stages of the game.

What do I mean by stages of the game?

- You just hit 60 and you're running 5-10 men to gear up to start raiding.

- Started raiding with blues and hopefully fully pre-raid BiS.

- Raid geared.

 

This is what I've gathered:

- Swiftmend would be the preferred spec for players starting to raid. (13/0/38)

- Nature's Grace spec for Raid geared players who would benefit the most from the talent. (21/0/30)

- What about players who just hit 60 and are running 5-10 men to gear up?

  Something with Moonglow and Tranquil Spirit to reduce the mana costs? (23/0/28)

 

Hopefully we get some answers on this subject from some experienced resto druids.

In case it wasn't clear in my post, I'm asking for help :)

I'm gathering resto gear to respecc but I wanted to respecc to the correct spec considering my actual gear stage, which will be pre-raid blues.

So, I'm asking again for Resto Druids to come help out, and perhaps this can help other players as well.

21/0/30 is actually pretty damn good even for pre-raid blue gear.

Doesn't Nature's Grace Spec need you to be constant casting so you can take advantage of the talent?

And if so, in pre-raid blue can you mantain that an entire boss fight without going oom?

20% more int and you can tank 5 mans for gear

going full resto as soon as you hit that 60 is a mistake imo

You will be out of mana shortly without major consumes and decent gear.

If it's a short fight, maybe.

Personally, I prefer gearing up with a hybrid spec so I can get into more groups as heals, tank, or dps: http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#0zZxbxscddLixc0xo

You can get away with crappy raid healing with that spec as well.

I'm 1/29/21 atm with some slight changes from your build, because it was my leveling spec.

I'm using this build to run dungeons and to gear up but I would like to respecc to resto before starting to raid.

What's the starting build for raiding?

the 7 pts left can be put into anything you want - i like to go with 2/3 shapeshifter
