My ban appeal is denied and as someone who was never bannned before in 16 years of gaming, I have hard time accepting this. Especially as being leader of fast growing WPvP community on Anathema and rather helpful ingame dude. And yea... I wrote THIS after I wrote entire post just to warn you that below there, you can find some mixed feelings of a guy who is rather confused because he feels like he did nothing wrong and yet has to realize what could possible come out as gamebreaking stuff from what he did. His story lies below :) Have a good reading:

That's the way I see it... I'm having hard time accepting this cuz I was never banned in 16 years of gaming.

I report the server cancer daily, gold sellers... and i find SAME names I report for five days in ROW, in same fucking tunnel in Orgrimmar. Getting same fucking message from hacked dude named Jannick for 2 days straight several times a day... and I see a guy whose model changes were detected by your anti-whatever and I admit to you guys I'm using some models that are obviously undetected by your software. I ADMIT IT. I haven't hide it from you, I recorded bloody videos with those models, posted them on forum too.

Instead of just asking me to put it down and maybe tell you what I'm using for over a month and it's still not detected, Pottu just asks me for name and blatantly bans me.  Guess how long it took him to ban me - 5mins, if even that long.

So... I say I'm using other models - 5mins to ban me

I report few gold selling names and I get this:

few days after sending bloody youtube video as pm to couple of gms and making ticket with it linked, nothing happens and I'm forced to write this:

Yesterday while passing the tunnel, I found 2 of the guys from that ticket still online. I'm 100% sure others aren't banned either...

They sure investigated me :) A regular player with a slightly different graphics taste. I got treated like I hacked, I got over 100k honorable kills cuz my new horse model has stats on it ;) It has few spikes that your model doesn't have so my horse is better then your horse... that's why I'm banned :)

 

So yea... report a gold seller and it takes a fkn procedure to ban him and it takes a fkn month duration to do it.

Openly admit of using improved models - perma ban within 5mins

Ezlycombstbl, my guild mate got hacked yesterday... I can tell that you give like 0 fks about it already. Luckily I was able to trade him like 40ish gold to speed up his recovery and some guildmates jumped in to help too. I asked on discord is there any chance for him to get at least something back, "no" was the answer.

Point is... you are quick to act where it simply doesn't matter! My fkn models did NO HARM to anyone. That improved textures actually just made me wanted to spend more time here. I played vanilla since Valkyre started... i got tired of same shit. Just wanted a bloody GRAPHICAL CHANGE.

I broke the rule, I apologize for that. I will delete the files and play the game with shit looks again while doing same exact stuff which I did with more enjoyable high detailed textures :)

Nothing much I can do...

I feel like this mostly because I'm being placed in same basket as the scum I was fighting against... goldsellers. At very least, this shouldn't be a PERMANENT ban...

So the whole point of this screed is that you admit to modifying the game files -- and you were banned.  But there are compromised accounts cluttering up chat channels and whispers with gold-seller spam -- and you're upset that those accounts were banned before you?

This isn't a matter of which is worse -- despite your rage -- and nobody is going to argue your against your strawman ("WHICH IS WORSE -- MODIFYING THE GAME FILES OR GOLD SPAMMING").  It doesn't matter if other players have no issue with you using modified in-game models (I don't, speaking only for me) -- modifying the game files is against the ToU.

We have only your word for claiming that only merely changed a harmless texture and nothing else. Our rules clearly forbid any client modification. You were content to violate our rules when it was to your advantage. When informed of the rule in Discord, instead of complying, you proudly proclaimed that you've been a rule breaker and that's that. You have said nothing that would convince me that, in the future, you would not use a modified client for further advantage. I see no reason to give you that opportunity.

You are not paying for a service, you are playing here thanks to the efforts of the whole Elysium team. If you cannot abide by our rules, then please go elsewhere.
