Laiy 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2017 1 hour ago, Indormi said: This topic is being moved.... A lead GM will make the final call... as i did last time... His decision will be 100% final this time... it is beginning to be an abuse of our appeals system... also linking private conversations and putting them publicly is not recommended by any means! I would have not done this, only if I got the right decision. Just like I posted, I thank the effort of the GM team, but I know what I did and what I did not, that`s why posting here after the 3rd appeal got declined. Anyhow, I understand as long as I am playing in this server, I am abide to the rules and should show my utmost respect to the GMs together with their decisions. Since my voices has been heard, and you guys are truely giving me another review, I would respect what`s to come whatever it is. To be honest, I am not even the guy himself, Laiy is my closest friend who does not understand cow about English and already chose AFK after this heart breaking news. I just don`t wanna see such great experience go away from him nor more and more friends AFKing for god knows what the reason is without even clear the cloud with the community, and after hours of checking with him about the facts, I chose to appeal in his name. As Indormi said, this will be final, and the decision will be respected.
Mahtan 15 Report post Posted June 4, 2017 Sorry for being offtopic... but a little bit more transparency regarding ban reasoning and decision making in terms of GM actions would be appreciated. Your current systems doesn't provide players actual cases of exploiting, concrete information is quite difficult to obtain. It's not without reason that real life judicature is very transparent in most western countries. It would help people to recognize when something is exploited. I would argue that negative effects of explaining exploits and ban reasons are far less impactful than the positive effects like awareness of people. Edit: Take Mandokir exploit as an example. You can use the ziggurat to fight Mandokir and evade the Raptor. Blizzard has not banned people for doing that (I did not find any evidence that they did, I could be wrong of course), but they designed later bosses in TBC without such buildings, instead most boss rooms are flat now. This exploit leads to a 3 day ban on Elysium, but the information is not obtainable in this forum. Even worse... It is stated by a player that a similar strategy (fighting Mandokir and Raptor, but avoiding charge mechanic with the ziggurat) would be allowed. Very confusing for an average player... Transparent ban explanations would help with that.
Akuta 5 Report post Posted June 4, 2017 Greetings All, Usually we keep all information regarding ban's and ban appeals confidential but since Laiy chose to bring this into the general discussion and chose to make the processes of their ban and appeal public I am taking the unusual step of answering in public. Laiy - Not only did I, the lead GM but also the lead dev and 3 other senior GM's reviewed your case. We have what we believe is enough evidence of a Real Money Transaction to ban your account. You were involved with a larger group of people who all appear to be selling coins and bijous and various other items for real money. Your appeal is denied. Were not talking about one or two strange transactions, were talking about people trading large amounts of wealth for 0 in-game payment to players who they have no link to (not the same guild, no chat discussions and many are low level characters).
