Antility TV 0 Report post Posted June 6, 2017 my friend from korea recommended me a Japanese series called Nodame Cantabile It is a romance about Two musicians united in talent, divided by nature - the upper-class perfectionist Chiaki and the sloppy middle-classer Nodame I don't know if this video contains any spoilers or whatever, I just skimmed through it to see what the aesthetics of the show looked like, and I think it looks quite nice. anybody interested in watching it with me? we could set up date / time of when to watch, and I can host it on my rabb.it channel it is 11 episodes total

Antility TV 0 Report post Posted June 7, 2017 I watched episode 1 last night and I like the show. might not be for everyone though as 1 of the main focuses of it is about Piano and classical music, as the show takes place at a music academy. the characters are interesting, and the show also has some nice funny parts. like for example, the girl is kind of weird, and when the guy was over at her apartment to practice she smelled bad and said she only washes her hair every 3 days, so the guy dragged her to the shower and sprayed the crap out of her. here is a nice scene from episode 1

flowqz 34 Report post Posted June 8, 2017 Do not even reply. If you are not planning to study in Japan etc. without looking at animation, I think that Japanese is useless. If it was me, animation and Japanese culture hated too much so that I could face face-to-face jokes. For that I learned Japanese. Mr. Small Japan!
QQsya 4 Report post Posted June 8, 2017 機械翻訳w very no At lesat respond. If you don't watching the anime or planning to study in the Japan then Japanese seem useless. If you want to know about me, it's because I hate the anime and Japanese culture so much that I made it to be able to tell the dumb japs to their face. I learned Japanese for that. Antility TV 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2017 I have watched 8 of the 11 episodes, and while I am enjoying the show, I cannot lie I was kind of dissapointed by it because I had a different impression of what the show would be like. going into the show and watching episode 1 I knew that it had some goofy parts, and that classical music and all that was a big part of the show. but I thought it would also be a romance. after 8 episodes there is no romance yet, but that might change in the last few episodes? maybe a mistake on my part, the show is described as a romantic comedy, but I guess I went into it thinking that it would be similar to Hana Yori Dango. that show also had lots of comedic parts, but it still had lots of romance / drama as well. for example, after seeing the first 60 seconds of this scene I thought the romance between the two would start to blossom but it didn't, Nodame clearly really likes Chiaki, and although Chiaki deep down worries about Nodame, there is really no romance that builds up between the two. so yeah my thoughts are, this romantic comedy is way too focused on the comedy than the romance, where I would have prefered it to be the romance that was the main focus (like in Hana Yori Dango) I do enjoy the show though and will finish it to see how it plays out because I expect that the romantic parts will ramp up in the final episodes
