Gear has wrong stats - deleting WDB doesn't help

At a BRD-run last night multiple items appeared green, inferior and wrong (According to db.vanillagaming) compared to how my friend saw them.
I tried deleting the WDB-foldes several times and reopening the game, but the Angerforge's Battle Axe in my backpack remains green and useless.
How do I get the right version of the axe and more importantly, how do I make sure i doesn't happen again when something valuable drops.

It happened again to multiple items in UBRS today. What do I do?

Some items are changed multiple times in vanilla.

All item stats and their quality you find on db.vanillagaming or similar websites are the final 1.12.1 stats.

 

The stats you see on the items ingame after deleting your WDB, are currently on their proper version for the patch the server is on.

When it happened the first time, my friend saw different versions of several items than i did. Should we have see the same version when playing together?

Absolutely, the only way you would see different stats is if one (or both) of you had no cleared the WDB folder after an update.
