What's needed / Alliance / Classwise

Recommended Posts

Currently playing a dwarf priest (As if there could be a better race?). I played a mage and a warrior when WoW was vanilla; Really ok with playing whatever, what's the mix like? DPS/Tank/Healer what would be more beneficial as a whole to play and fill out groups easier? Thanks, looking forward to re-living the glory days of this game!

In need of more warrior tanks and warlocks, if you are prepared to be a warlock against undead's passive

Tanks are almost always the last spot filled for 5-man dungeon groups.

You'll always find a raiding spot as a dwarf priest, warlock or rdruid.

Are Warlocks really in such a demand? I picked one up afetr struggling to solo lvl as a warrior.

Their DPS seems really low and I know there's a limit to how many dots can be applied to bosses and what not. So how effective is their DPS really? or are they more valued for their SoulStone and possibly other abilities? Ive been looking at raid comps, and like a few other classes, Warlocks are usually at a limited amount. Meanwhile warriors could make up for 1/4 of the raid and I dont think anyone would really be upset (besides the warriors)

Warlock utility, particularly banish on Garr. Blood pact for tank group, soulstones, healthstones, summons are all invaluable too.

It's a population thing. Horde have plenty of warlocks and therefore aren't as in-demand.

Its crazy how many warriors, druids, and pallys I pass but none are tanks or willing to respec

It's a gearing issue. I offer to tank all the time as a druid, but I only need healing gear. You either need to compromise and roll against one another (where the healer's used to no competition on rolls) or find a healer that doesn't need the specific item you're looking for.

You're right though, it's maddening to join a group that's been spamming LF1M Tank and see a warrior who refuses to slap on a shield.

The reason for that is that with the current content a melee heavy raid composition is  very strong.

Once AQ40 hit Warlocks will be on top of the meters right behind mages, since later raids favor range dps way more.

Guilds will have to transition to a raidcomp with more range dps.

Tanks will always be in demand for 5mans considering how quickly they can get geared, they aren't having 2 others in the group fighting for pieces they need, rarely even one.

It's a blessing for the tanks and curse for everybody else. Warlocks are high demand in PvP and PvE premades alike for their summoning ability, stamina buff, shadow vulnerability and honestly a myriad of other reasons. if anything, those two classes are the most needed on alliance.

It's about utility. If Warlocks weren't really in demand, they wouldn't exist. You'd be rolling a current frostmage or some bs.
